Abstract: A method comprises an external data input step (A) of inputting external data (12) including data on the shape of an object (1), a shape data dividing step (B) for dividing the external data into cubic shape cells (13) the boundary faces of which are mutually perpendicular by octal tree division and storing the shape data for each shape cell, and a physical quantity dividing step (C) of octal−tree−dividing each of the physical quantities of the object into physical quantity cells (13’) and storing the physical quantity for each physical quantity cell. The shape cells (13) and the physical quantity cells (13’) of each physical quantity are stored in respective storage layers (18) in the same coordinate system, related to each other, and managed. By using one or a combination of the storage layers (18), the data on the shape and physical quantities are used.
