Abstract: A system is disclosed in which an aircraft includes a tank capable of storing a pressurized working fluid and delivering the working fluid to an engine. The working fluid can be used to increase the power of the aircraft engine by increasing mass flow through the engine and cooling temperatures in a combustor of the engine. In one embodiment the engine is a gas turbine engine. The aircraft can be a multi-engine aircraft in which when one engine experiences operational difficulties the tank can provide pressurized working fluid to another of the aircraft engines to boost power.
