Abstract: Kamera (100, 200, 300), umfassend: – ein elektrisch leitendes Gehäuse (102, 202, 302), das von Außenwänden (104, 204) und einem Innenhohlraum (106) definiert ist, wobei die Außenwände des Gehäuses eine Linsenöffnung (108) und eine Verbinderöffnung (110) aufweisen; – eine bildgebende Vorrichtung (112, 212, 312), die innerhalb des Innenhohlraums des Gehäuses angeordnet ist und optisch mit der Linsenöffnung in Verbindung steht; und – eine Leiterplatte (114, 214, 314), die innerhalb des Innenhohlraums des Gehäuses angeordnet ist und die bildgebende Vorrichtung von der Verbinderöffnung trennt, wobei die Leiterplatte eine elektrisch leitende Bodenfläche (116, 216) aufweist, die mit den Außenwänden des Gehäuses verbunden ist, so dass die Bodenfläche und das Gehäuse einen Faradayschen Käfig (118) um die bildgebende Vorrichtung bilden, gekennzeichnet durch – einen Kameraverbinder (120), der mit der Verbinderöffnung (110) des Gehäuses (102) in Verbindung steht; und – zumindest eine Übertragungsleitung, die die bildgebende Vorrichtung (112) elektrisch mit dem Kameraverbinder (120) verbindet, um Signale zwischen der bildgebenden Vorrichtung (112) und einem Bereich entfernt von dem Gehäuse (102) zu übertragen; – wobei der Faradaysche Käfig (118) angeordnet ist, um Radiofrequenz-Emissionen zwischen der bildgebenden Vorrichtung (112) und der Verbinderöffnung (110) des Gehäuses (102) zu filtern, wobei zumindest ein Durchgang (122) in dem Faradayschen Käfig (118) ausgebildet ist, um zumindest der einen Übertragungsleitung zu ermöglichen, durch diesen hindurchzutreten, und – wobei die zumindest eine Übertragungsleitung einen ersten EMI-Filter zwischen der Leiterplatte und der bildgebenden Vorrichtung und einen zweiten EMI-Filter zwischen der Leiterplatte und dem Verbinder umfasst, um unerwünschte Radiofrequenz-Emissionen zwischen der bildgebenden Vorrichtung und der Verbinderöffnung durch die zumindest eine Übertragungsleitung zu filtern.

Abstract: A partial Faraday cage for a camera 100 comprising an electrically conductive housing 102 with lens opening 108 and connector opening 110, an imaging device 112 located within the interior cavity 106 of the housing and optically communicating with the lens opening, and a printed wiring board 114 having an electrically conductive chassis plane connected to the exterior walls 104 of the housing, wherein the PWB separates the imaging device from the connector opening. A camera connector coupled to the imaging device may transfer data externally via a cable. A gap in the Faraday cage may allow a transmission line to pass through, the transmission line including two electromagnetic interference filters, one between the imaging device and the PWB, the second between the PWB and the connector opening. The cage may be dimensioned to reduce transmission of unwanted RF emissions below 1GHz. A layer stackup in the PWB may include conductive signal layers on each side of the PWB, The electromagnetic shielded camera is designed for EMI sensitive environments such as onboard aircraft.
