Abstract: The present invention relates to a ski binding (1) for the different forms of cross-country skiing, comprising a forward housing part (2) that contains a fixed engagement part (3), a movable engagement part (4), an actuating element (5) for moving the movable engagement part (4) between a locking position and a released position, and at least one flexible element (6) for abutment and cushioning against the front part of a ski shoe. The invention is characterised in that the flexible element (6) is injection molded together with the housing part (2). The present invention also relates to a method.

Abstract: A ski binding comprises a first recess for receiving a ski shoe pin, a locking member movable between a locking position and a open position, a biasing means to bias the locking member towards the locking position, and an activation member rotatably attached to the housing for rotation around a transversal rotational axis of the binding. The locking member has at least one outer portion that allows a ski shoe pin to force the locking member from the locking position towards the open position when the ski shoe pin enters the first recess. The activation member has an arm extending radially away from its transversal rotational axis. The activation member and the locking member are operatively connected such that when the arm rotates in the first rotational direction through a predetermined lower operational range, the activation member forces the locking member from the locking position to the open position.

Abstract: The present provides and a method of assembling a touring or cross-country binding, the touring or cross-country binding comprising: an engagement section for pivotal engagement of a ski shoe engagement pin, the engagement section including a stationary engagement part and a movable engagement part; the stationary engagement part comprising a base and a pair of protruding elements, wherein the distal part of the protruding elements are provided with a recess adapted to receive the ski shoe engagement pin; and the movable engagement part is a slider in sliding engagement with the stationary engagement part; an activation element adapted to move the movable engagement part between a locking position and a releasing position of the engagement pin; and a downwards pointing button arranged on the activation element to directly engage an opening in the movable engagement part, whereby the movable engagement part is sliding forward to the releasing position by a downwards force on the activation element at a position behind the fulcrum pins of the activation element.
