Abstract: The invention concerns a method for filling a container with the net weight of a product using a filling element arranged to introduce the product in the container when the latter is borne by a force sensor. The invention is characterised in that it comprises at least a cycle including steps which consist in: providing a container on a force sensor; commanding a flow of product by the filling member, repeatedly timing the flow of product starting from the time the flow is commanded; measuring at least at distinct first and second reading times a value of a signal delivered by the force sensor; calculating an average flow rate of the product in a time interval separating the reading times; performing at least a calculated evaluation of a filling time based on the calculated average flow rate and a reference weight; commanding the product flow to be stopped when the flowing time of the product is equal to the evaluation of the filling time.
