A SIMPLE INEXPENSIVE CONTROL DEVICE, SUITABLE FOR AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FOR VEHICLES, IS PROVIDED, WHICH CAN PREVENT AN OVERSHOOTING AND AN UNDERSHOOTING OF A VEHICLE TEMPERATURE AND CAN IMPROVE THE COMFORTABLENESS BY ESTIMATING THE VEHICLE INTERIOR TEMPERATURE IN A TRANSIENT STATE IN AN OPTIMUM MANNER.

    Abstract: A control unit (26) computes the displacement of the compressor (18) according to data from the unit (25) and the detection units (22,23) of the refrigerant circuit operating condition and for controlling the displacement of the compressor (18) so that the temp. (Te), which indicates the heat exchangeability, approximating to the desired value (TV). A first value (A,C) and a second value (B,D) higher than the first value (A,C) are adjusted in the control unit (26) in relation to the operating condition of the refrigerant circuit (17), and for restricting an excessive control of the compression of the compressor. The control unit (26) controls the displacement of the compressor at two positions, if the operating condition of the refrigerant circuit (17) goes in a region between the first and the second adjusted value (A,C;B,D). So that one of the positions is a position corresp. to a first displacement control value, which is computed by the control unit. The other position is a position corresp. to a second displacement value, which is predetermined and is smaller than the first displacement control value.
