Abstract: Load bearing profile beam, which in the first instance is intended for use on building sites. It involves an extended load surface (10) which is equipped with sidelong cavity profiles (11, 12). These cavity profiles have a flat topside which makes up part of the load-bearing surface. The cavity profile's arrangement gives the profile beam an improved movement rigidity and ease of conveyance.The cavity profiles are preferably made of two joined components (11a-11b, 12-12b) which are joined in the cavity profile's neutral plane. This facilitates the modification of the profile beam and makes possible hole-punching or cross-grooving of the whole load-bearing surface (10) for effecting a slip guard. The components (10a) of the profile beam situated between the cavity profiles (11, 12) are furnished with one or more reinforcing flanges (21) on their undersides.
