Abstract: A portable toy or game has three sections, top 5, middle 6 and bottom or tongue 7. The top and middle section are pivotally connected together via a hinge 4. The device may be moved from a first flat position as in figure 1 to a second position as in figures 3 and 4 wherein the top and middle sections form a jaw or open mouth configuration. In figure 3 the tongue member is extended. In use the tongue is pulled back to form a prop or stay means, 8 figure 4. Said prop acts to hold the jaws apart. An object 9, which may be a ball may be propelled toward said jaws. The jaws will close if the prop is struck and dislodged. The device may be made from plastic and may having living hinges.

Abstract: A flexible sheet 1 that can be arranged into a portable slide, comprises releasable fastening means 10,11 so that one end of the sheet can be configured into a cylindrical or tear drop shape and retained in position by the fastening means 10,11. When the slide is to be positioned over a loose substrate such as sand the cylindrical or tear shaped pocket 4 formed in the sheet can be filled with sand so as to act as an anchorage system for the slide. The slide may include a plurality of sheets joined together by hinges (2, figure 4) so that the slide may follow a curved path. A sheet 1 may also be reconfigured and used as a sledge (see figures 24-26) or sandcastle mould (see figure 19).

Abstract: At least one flexible sheet 1 can be arranged such that it may be used as either a slide or a sledge. The sheet is configurable such that at least one end of the sheet is bend back on its self to form a curved, teardrop or cylindrical tubular enclosure 4. When the sheet is used as a slide the tubular enclosure is used as an anchorage means in loose substrate such as sand. The tubular enclosure is either filled with substrate or buried in a loose substrate to anchor the slide to the substrate. When the sheet is used as a sledge the tubular enclosure acts as a cushioning as the sledge travels. The tubular enclosure may be held in the tubular configuration by releasable 10 or permanent fasteners. Also disclosed are embodiments were a flexible sheet is used as a mould, tack for toys and a pillowed covering.

Abstract: A planting arrangement comprises a hollow conical capillary wick element 5 and first 1 and second 7 supporting bodies. The wick element is inverted so that the widest part is uppermost and the lowermost part is inserted through and supported by an opening in the first supporting body, the wick element being filled with material suitable for capillary transport. The first supporting body is in turn supported by the second supporting body which may be filled with water. The wick element is in contact with the water to provide water transference. The wick element may be made from a foldable blank. The foldable blank can also folded so as to form a planting container, plant housing means or cloche type means 4.

Abstract: An integral releasable fastening means on a flexible sheet or sheets 1 comprises an integral hook like member 10 and corresponding integral slits 11 formed on the side edges of the sheet/s. The hook like members 10 are adapted to engage with a corresponding slit 11 to secure the sheet/s in a desired configuration. The fastenings allow different parts of the same sheet to be fastened together creating chosen curved configurations 4, or allow a plurality of sheets to be fastened together. The sheet/s may be arranged into chosen arrangements for multiple uses dependant on the sheet/s size and configuration formed. The sheet/s may be of a composition allowing repeat application and removal of graphics.

Abstract: A portable, plastic slide may be used either inclined or horizontal and wet or dry. The slide comprises a plastic base 5 which is supported by the terrain eg a natural or man made mound 9. The slide is anchored by tube pegs filled with sand (1, fig 4), sand containers or envelopes (2, fig 6) and fins or edges 10 attached to the sides of the slide. One embodiment of the slide may be rolled for storage or transport; other embodiments may be constructed from rigid plastic. One or more slides may be joined together to make a longer slide 11. Lane dividers (8, fig 15) may also be provided.
