The invention relates to a transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) for transcutaneously administering tolterodine over a period of several days and to a method for producing the same. The TTS contains a self-adhesive layer-shaped matrix material which contains a (meth)acrylate copolymer comprising ammonium groups. The TTS also contains at least one softener and up to 25 wt. % of tolterodine.

Sheet-like device comprises: at least an oxidation sensitive active agent and/or its base or salt containing layer (5); an active agent impermeable backing layer (4); and a removable protective layer (6). The edge of the backing layer is permanently connected with the edge of the protective layer over the open sides of the active agent layer lying between the backing layer and the protective layer. The connection is a continuous sealing of the edge type, an encapsulation against environmental factors and provides permanent anaerobic micro-environment around the active substance particle. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing the sheet-like device, comprising providing the backing layer, the protective layer, introducing the active agent layer between these layers, guiding the edges of the backing layer over the open sides of the active agent layer and applying on the corresponding edges of the protective layer and connecting the layers under continuous sealing of the edges; and (2) means for producing the sheet-like device by the above method, where the backing layer, the protective layer and the active agent containing layer are actable by two opposing rollers, which are heat regulated.
