    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repetitively, stably and electrolytically form color filter layers and to manufacture color filters used for a personal computer etc. by an easy method. SOLUTION: A worked bar-like platinum rod is coated with 'Teflon (R)' 12 as the voltage impressing electrode of an apparatus for producing the color filters for liquid crystal display devices. The side in contact with an electrolyte is approximately on the left side of the central apart 14 of the electrode and the metallic part 11 on the side in contact with the electrolytic at this time is formed to the smallest possible area. A lead wire 13 is connected to the end in order to supply power from a power source for electrolysis. The voltage impressing electrode manufactured in such a manner is mounted at an electrolytic cell. R, G, B films are formed by using this device, executing electrode patterning, resist applying and patterning, forming of the color filter layers by electrolysis and peeling of the resist as basic stages and repeating the stages after the resist application.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a printing method with a color ink-jet printer, effective in preventing the blotting (color-mixing) of at least black ink and three primary color inks, enabling the use of black ink in color-printing part and printable to regenerated paper as well as ordinary paper. CONSTITUTION:The inks to be used in the subject printing method are composed of (1) inks containing oil-soluble dyes as three primary color inks and a water- base ink containing a water-soluble dye as the black ink, (2) inks produced by solubilizing oil-soluble dyes in an aqueous emulsion solution of a resin as the three primary color inks and a black ink described in (1), or (3) inks produced by dissolving oil-soluble dyes in a cyanoacrylate resin and a black ink described in (1). A paper is printed with a resin solution containing cationic group and an ink containing ordinary anion dye is ejected to the printed part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for separately installing a counter electrode by effecting an electrolysis with a part of the transparent electrodes on the same substrate as anode and a part as cathode, thereby forming dye films. CONSTITUTION:A method of dispersing org. pigments into an aq. micelle soln. of a surfactant having redox reactivity to form a colloid, then effecting the electrolysis in this colloidal soln. is used as a wet process electrolysis method.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To form dyestuff films having good durable quality by forming the dyestuff films on a conductor substrate, then immersing the conductor substrate in hot water of a prescribed temp. for a prescribed period of time after washing, by which Li ions are removed in the case of production of color filters (CFs) by a micell electrolysis method. CONSTITUTION:An aq. micell colloidal soln. of dyestuffs which consists of dyestuff particles insoluble or hardly soluble in water, a surfactant charged by electrolysis and a supporting electrolyte as basic components and encloses the dyestuff particles with the surfactant is prepd. The dyestuff thin films are formed by breaking the micells by the electrolysis to codeposit the dyestuff particles on the conductor. The formation of the dyestuff films from which the impurity are removed is executed by forming the dyestuff films and washing the films with water, then immersing the substrate for a prescribed period of time in the hot water of the prescribed temp., then pulling up the substrate. The CFs of three colors with which the impurity Li ions do not exist in the dyestuff films are formed by immersing the substrate into the hot water of the prescribed time for a prescribed period of time after washing with tap water at every time the dyestuff films are formed. This method is extremely effective in mass productivity for the improvement in the quality of the CFs and the simplicity of this method.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve liquid crystal driving characteristics by impregnating a material which is made into a conductive material by a post treatment into dyed films after the formation of the dyed films and forming a conductor structure in the dyed films by the post treatment. CONSTITUTION:Org. pigments are dispersed into an aq. micelle soln. of a surfactant having redox reactivity and are made into colloid; thereafter, an electrolysis is effected in the aq. micelle soln. to deposit the org. pigments on a transparent electrode substrate 1 and to form the dyed films 4. The material which is made into the conductive material 5 is impregnated by the post treatment into the dyed films 4 and the conductor structure 6 is formed in the dyed films 4 by the post treatment, by which the dye films 4 are made conductive. The loss of the impressed voltage at the time of liquid crystal driving is eliminated in this way and the color filter sufficiently applicable even to the high-duty driving with a simple matrix type (STN) is produced.
