Abstract: Thermoplastic resin foam having good surfaces and high expansion ratio, were prepd. by extruding through molds. Thus, a mixt. of polystyrene 100 parts, powdered talc 2 parts, and brown pigment 0.1 part was extruded at 200-220≦̸C through a mold to give a foam having average density 0.33g/cc, bending strength 190kg/cm2 longitudinally and 60kg/cm2 laterally.
