Abstract: A plant cultivation device includes a light source unit having a first light source emitting stimulation light in a UV region toward a plant and a second light source emitting background light toward the plant, the background light having a different peak wavelength than the stimulation light. The second light source emits the background light during a light period and stops emission of the background light during a dark period. In addition, the first light source emits the stimulation light for a certain period of time during the light period. Further, a cumulative amount of the stimulation light emitted from the first light source is 0.036 J or more per day.

Abstract: An LED light source unit for plant cultivation according to an embodiment comprises: at least one first light emitting diode chip which emits light of 430 nm or less; and at least three types of fluorescent materials which are excited by the at least one first light emitting diode chip, wherein the three types of fluorescent materials include a first fluorescent material having a peak wavelength within a first wavelength range of 440 to 500 nm, a second fluorescent material having a peak wavelength within a second wavelength range of 500 to 600 nm, and a third fluorescent material having a peak wavelength within a third wavelength range of 600 to 650 nm. The combined light of the light emitted from the first light emitting diode chip and the at least three types of fluorescent materials appears as white light of the basic spectrum having a color temperature of 5000K or higher.
