Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for continuous hoop-casing of a stack of bags arranged on a pallet, by means of a plastic film. This device comprises: - a motorised lifting table 5 whose upper part, which supports the pallet 8, consists of a rotating, also motorised, plate 7, - a means for lowering the height of the table in steps which are substantially equal to the thickness of the bags, - a dispenser 3 of bags 1 to be stacked, which successively brings each bag onto the pallet, - a device for the controlled unrolling, at an adjustable tension, of a strip of stretchable hoop-casing plastic film 11. Application to the palletisation of bags and other similar objects such as cardboard boxes, cases, drums, etc.
