Abstract:

An LED array (71) and a reflective plate (73) are disposed sandwiching a slit (St) through which light reflected by a document MS passes and a light-guiding member (72) is disposed on the side of the LED array (71). The light-guiding member (72) includes a direct emission unit (77) disposed between an illumination range y centered on a document reading position and the LED array (71) and an indirect emission unit (78) disposed between the reflective plate (73) and the LED array (71), a light incidence face of the direct emission unit (77) and a light incidence face of the indirect emission unit (78) are disposed at mutually different position around the LED array (71), and the LED array (71) is disposed on a side of an interior angle formed by the light incidence faces.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image forming method and an image forming device for automatically correcting the deviation of image elements with a regular copy operation. SOLUTION: In a digital copy machine 1, an image processing part 13 is provided with a recognition part 3, an image correction part 32 and an adjusting pattern addition part 33. At the time of forming the image, the adjusting pattern addition part 33 forms an adjusting patter 4 in a blank part 7 which is out of an image area. When a recording sheet 5 where the adjusting pattern 4 is formed is copied as an original, a reader 11 reads the adjusting pattern 4 and the recognition part 31 recognizes the position of the adjusting pattern 4. When the recognition part 31 recognizes the adjusting pattern 4, the image correction part 32 adjusts correction data. When an image forming part 12 forms the image, the deviation of the image is corrected. Then, the adjusting pattern addition part 33 adds the adjusting pattern 4 in the part out of the image area.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture reading device capable of executing stable picture reading against various fluctuation factors. SOLUTION: A picture reading device is provided with an original setting plate 2, a light source 3, mirrors 4, 6, and 7, a lens 9, a line sensor 10, an A/D converter 11, a picture processior 20, a copy lamp power source 13 for supplying a power to the light source 3 and for controlling the on/off of the power supply and power supply currents, a timing control means 14 for outputting the lighting start instruction signal and putting-out instruction signal of the light source 3 to the copy lamp power source 13, and a light quantity measuring means 19 for monitoring the light quantity of the light source 3 by analyzing the output signal of the line sensor 10 supplied from the picture processing part 20. A timing control means 14 decides a timing in which the lighting start instruction signal should be outputted based on the measured result of the light quantity measuring means 19.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of simplifying the inputting operation of a color which has to be extracted, when converting a read image to an image of a different color and outputting it. SOLUTION: A digital color copying machine reads a color original to form a color copy. A specific term related with an image part being the object of the color original to be read is inputted by using an operation panel 49. An image of the object of a color component related with the term is image formed with a specific color image by a control part 55, a table 54, a comparing part 53, a color conversion part 52 and an image forming part 210, and outputted. The image of the remaining color components is image-formed with a color image of a single color different from the specific color and outputted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set an entry area on a routine entry form and to enter entry items to the entry area. SOLUTION: The routine entry form is read with a scanner part 27, ruled lines indicating respective entry columns on the entry form are recognized by an optical character read part 31 and blank entry areas on the upper side of the respective ruled lines are judged by an entry area setting part 32. The entry items are entered to the respective entry areas by an image editing part 33 and the image of the entry form into which the respective entry items are entered is printed out by a printer part 28.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a working time for setting each input and output characteristic value in an image formation device provided with multiple input and output characteristic values. SOLUTION: An image data input section 40 that reads an original as image data is provided. A target value memory section 3 that stores a target value for an input and output characteristic value when a standard original 2 is read is provided. A comparison section 3 that generates a new input and output characteristic value, comparing image data of the standard original 2 with the target value is provided. A fixed value memory section 4a that stores as a fixed value a difference between an input and output characteristic values of an original and that of a copy is provided. An adding section 4 that adds the fixed value to the image data of the standard original 2 and outputs the result to a comparison section 3 is provided. Multiple input and output characteristic values can be set by reading only at a time the standard original 2 because the fixed value memory section 4a and the adding section 4 are provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate chromatic aberration with accuracy by seeking information of chromatic aberration from image data in an actual use. SOLUTION: By using a reference manuscript having a pattern with white and black lines arranged alternately, image data for each color of RGB is collected by reading the pattern of the reference manuscript. A reference point in the scanning direction for each color is determined from the image data. A dislocated amount from another color with the reference of R is calculated to be used as a compensation value of chromatic aberration. The chromatic aberration of the image data obtained from reading the manuscript is compensated on the basis of the compensation value.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reference member from getting a taint damage and reads the reference member in the same state as that when an original image is read so as to accurately correct shading at all times. SOLUTION: A reference sheet 5 is wound and stored on a circumferential face of a winding roller 4 whose shaft is supported at a downstream side of a platen roller 3 in an original carrying direction and by turning the winding roller 4, the reference sheet 5 is made to feely move between an escape position and an exposed position with respect to an original read position P located between the platen roller 3 and a contact glass plate 21. In the case of reading an original image, the reference sheet 5 is wound on the circumferential face of the winding roller 4 to be located at an escape position and only at reading of shading correction data, the reference sheet 5 is exposed at the original read position P so that shading correction data are read from the reference sheet 5 in the same state as that as reading of the original image. Furthermore, the reference sheet 5 is not in contact with an original D so as to prevent the reference sheet 5 from getting dirt.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for detecting a manuscript size of a digital copier and a scanner which enables to detect a normal manuscript size by preventing a false detection due to disturbance light. SOLUTION: The detecting means of a manuscript size for this device intercepts incidence of disturbance light onto the optical axis from an interior room light and the like by detecting a size of the manuscript that is mounted with a light source unit being moved to the position facing the operating part.
