Abstract: A perpendicular foundation elements such as concrete or steel pile were coated wholly or partially with mineral pitch for protecing if from erosion. The pref. penetration of mineral pirch was +2 to +6 and pref. thickness of the coated pitch was 0.5-1.5 cm. The mineral pitch could be coated on the foundation elements. In case of steel pile, a tacky coating material (primer) was coated primarily on the surface of it and mineral pitch was poured on the horizontally disposed piles. The opposite side was coated by same method.
