PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which comprises a polyphenylene ether and a specific elastomer block copolymer and has a good cold shock resistance and excellent melt-flow properties. SOLUTION: (A) Apolyphenylene ether [suitably poly(2,6-dimehyl-1-4phenylene) ether], (B) a styrene resin (suitably polystyrene) and (C) an elastomer block copolymer comprising an intermediate block of ethylene/propylene copolymer and both terminal blocks of styrene polymer are formulated so that the component (C) amounts to 2-40wt.% based on the whole weight of the composition. the component (C) is preferably a linear styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene block copolymer. The weight ratio of the components (A)/(B) is preferably 75/25 to 50/50. These components (A), (B) and (C) are preferably mixed in their molten state. When necessary, the objective composition is prevented from deterioration by adding small amounts of stabilizers.
