Abstract: A voice coil motor comprising a stator having a magnetic circuit comprising permanent magnets magnetized in predetermined directions, and a yoke; a mover comprising a driven member connected to an end thereof, and a coreless coil perpendicular to the magnetic flux of the permanent magnets, the mover being linearly movably supported by the stator; and a spring for applying an elastic force to the mover in a direction separating the driven member from the stator, and a brush unit comprising such a voice coil motor.
