    Abstract: A sunscreen cosmetic exerts stably an excellent ultraviolet shielding effect without undergoing photodegradation even in a system where 4-tert-butyl-4′-methoxydibenzoylmethane and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate coexist. The sunscreen cosmetic comprises (a) 0.5-5.0 mass % of 4-tert-butyl-4′-methoxydibenzoylmethane, (b) 3.0-10 mass % of ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, (c) 5.0 mass % or more of an amphipathic substance, and (d) a liquid oil component containing an ester oil having an IOB of 0.05-0.60, characterized in that the contents of components (a), (b) and (c) satisfy the requirement 0.5≤[(a)+(b)]/(c)≤3.5.

Certain embodiments of the present invention provides a raw material for a cosmetic, comprising a core-corona polymer particle dispersion obtained by radical-polymerizing a polyethylene oxide macromonomer represented by formula (1) and one or two or more of hydrophobic monomers represented by formulas (2) and (3) under conditions (A) to (D).

    Abstract: An emulsifier is comprised of core-corona type microparticles that an emulsification capability thereof is not affected by the crosslinking level and an oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic emulsified by the afore-mentioned emulsifier. A cosmetic raw material comprising: a core-corona type microparticles that is obtained by radical polymerization of a polyethylene oxide macromonomer represented by a chemical formula (1), and at least one hydrophobic monomer selected from a group of an acrylate derivative monomer represented by a chemical formula (2) and an acrylamide derivative monomer represented by a chemical formula (3) under the conditions (A) to (D); wherein R1 is at least one substitute selected from a group consisting of H and an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, n is a number of 8 to 200, and X is at least one substitute selected from a group consisting of H and CH3; wherein R2 is at least one substitute selected from a group consisting of H and an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and R3 is a substituent that has an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms; wherein R4 is at least one substitute selected from a group consisting of H and an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and both R5 and R6 are one substitute selected from a group consisting of H and substituents that have an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms.
