    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cost effective and efficient method for delamination of a base body (3) of a turbine blade (1) having a corrosion protective layer (11). SOLUTION: An outer segment (13) of the corrosion protective layer (11) is removed by peeling using jet water (23). In succession, an inner segment (15) of the corrosion protective layer (11) is chemically removed. The efficient and inexpensive delamination of the corrosion protective layer (19) is made possible if these two methods are adopted.

    Abstract: Method of coating substrate having at least one opening hole involves covering the hole with a plug of wax, electrochemically depositing at least one coating layer and treating the outer surface of the coating either with an electron beam or laser, to improve the adhesion and homogenize the particles in the upper zone of the coating. To coat a substrate (1), which has at least one opening hole (4), the hole(s) is (are) initially covered by a plug (16) of wax, etc. At least one coating layer (13) is applied electrochemically at a low temperature of at most 250 degreesC and preferably at most 100 degreesC. The outer surface (15) of the coating is treated with an electron beam or a laser and the like, to improve the adhesion and homogenize the particles in the upper zone of the coating, by melting the zone immediately under the upper surface. The coating layer is of a ceramic thermal insulation layer or a metal.

    Abstract: Process for removing corrosion products of a partially corroded component made from a metal and/or metal compound comprises: (a) applying a multiple component cleaning agent to the corroded component; (b) heat treating the component with the cleaning agent so that an impregnating component and an activating component of the agent form a gaseous compound; (c) forming a sacrificial zone partially in the abrasive-resistant regions of the corroded component; and (d) removing the sacrificial zone to remove almost all corrosion products. Preferably the cleaning agent partially adheres to the component. The sacrificial zone is partially formed by regions of the component which contain the impregnating component. The temperature during heat treatment of the component lies below the lowest melting point of the impregnating component. The activating component is a halogen compound. The cleaning agent further contains aluminum oxide as a carrier material.
