Abstract:
A moisture-curing, condensation-crosslinking silicone composition that can be used as elastic adhesives and sealants. The silicone composition shows homogeneous depth curing, such that it cures through even under movement without forming cracks. The silicone composition contains at least one polyorganosiloxane having Si(OR3)3 end groups, at least one condensation catalyst and at least one crosslinker having hydrolyzable radicals, characterized in that the polymer end groups Si(OR3) have a reaction rate in the crosslinking reaction that is at least equal to and preferably higher than the hydrolyzable radicals of the at least one crosslinker.

A one-component or two-component silicone formulation including: a) at least one cross-linkable poly(diorganosiloxane); b) at least one oligomeric siloxane as a cross-linker for the poly(diorganosiloxane), wherein the oligomeric siloxane is a condensation product of monomeric silane cross-linkers; and c) at least one functionalized oligo(dimethylsiloxane). The one-component or two-component silicone formulation is suitable as an elastic adhesive or sealant, for example, in the automotive and solar fields, for façade construction, insulation glass, window glass or for construction in general.

A silicone formulation that has a) at least one condensation-crosslinkable hydroxy- or alkoxy-terminated polydiorganosiloxane, b) at least one silane crosslinking agent or siloxane crosslinking agent for the hydroxy- or alkoxy-terminated polydiorganosiloxane and c) one or more fillers, where one filler is the main filler, the proportion by weight of which in the silicone formulation is greater than that of any other filler that may be present, and the decomposition temperature of the main filler is above 350° C., with the proviso that the proportion of the main filler in relation to the total weight of the fillers is at least 20% by weight. The silicone formulation is particularly suitable as resilient adhesive or sealant, more particularly for high-temperature applications, e.g. for producing or repairing facades, fireproof joints, windows, insulative glazing, solar installations, vehicles, white or brown goods, heaters, electronic components, or sanitary installations, or for the construction sector.

The present invention relates to a silicone composition, including at least one addition or condensation curable polydiorganosiloxane with a viscosity of 10 to 500,000 MPa at a temperature of 23° C., at least one curing agent for the polydiorganosiloxane, at least one organotin compound, at least one complex of an element selected from the groups 4, 10, 12, 13 and 15 of the periodic system of elements, at least one silica acid with a BET surface of 50 to 300 m2/g, as well as at least one chalk with a BET surface of 10 to 25 m2/g and an average particle size d50 of 10 to 1000 nm. Such compositions are particularly suitable as adhesives, sealants, coatings or pouring compounds and are characterized by high tear propagation resistances.

A two-component composition is described, comprising as component A) a one-component, moisture-curing silicone composition comprising a) at least one crosslinkable polydiorganosiloxane, b) at least one siloxane containing alkoxy groups as crosslinker, obtainable from the partial hydrolysis and condensation of one or more alkoxysilanes, at least one alkoxysilane being a trialkoxysilane or a tetraalkoxysilane, and the average degree of condensation of the siloxane containing alkoxy groups being at least 5, and c) at least one condensation catalyst, and as component B) an accelerator comprising water. The two-component composition makes a suitable adhesive or sealant. Addition of the aqueous accelerator to the silicone composition allows accelerated curing.

A silicone composition including: at least two reactive polydiorganosiloxane polymers P1 and P2 that together account for 20% to 60% by weight, based on the overall silicone composition; at least one crosslinker for polydiorganosiloxanes, with a proportion of 0.5% to 5% by weight, based on the overall silicone composition; at least one catalyst, with a proportion of 0.001% to 0.1% by weight, based on the overall silicone composition; at least one optionally hydrophobized filler, selected from precipitated or fumed silica and ground or precipitated chalk, with a proportion of 10% to 70% by weight, based on the overall silicone composition, wherein the reactive polyorganosiloxane polymer P1 has a higher reactivity in the condensation crosslinking with the crosslinker than the reactive polyorganosiloxane polymer P2 and the molar ratio P1:P2 in the composition is between 0.1 and 15.

A crosslinkable silicone composition including: a. at least one condensation-crosslinkable polydiorganosiloxane P having silanol, alkoxysilyl, carboxysilyl, ketoximinosilyl, amidosilyl and/or aminosilyl end groups; b. at least one silane or siloxane crosslinker V for the condensation-crosslinkable polydiorganosiloxane; c. at least one crosslinking catalyst K1 of the general formula (I) d. at least one adhesion promoter H of the general formula (IV). Compositions of this kind are especially suitable as adhesives, sealants, coatings or casting compounds and are notable for a low tendency to separate and very good adhesion under moist and warm conditions.
