Abstract: An apparatus (100) for conducting a biochemical assay on a sample is provided. The apparatus comprises a housing (110) enclosing a reaction chamber (112), a rotation generating member (120) configured to support a rotatable cylindrical body (130) such that at least part of the rotatable cylindrical body can be arranged within the reaction chamber, and a humidifier (140) configured to release moisture to the reaction chamber. The rotation generating member is further configured to rotate the rotatable cylindrical body around a longitudinal central axis (A) of the rotatable cylindrical body while the assay is performed. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
