The present invention relates to a method for processing a three-dimensional video content, wherein a video stream processor (2) is inputted with a video stream (Fi) comprising video images and/or data images arranged within single frames according to a determined transport configuration and adapted to produce a three-dimensional display, wherein said video stream processor (2) generates, in response to a control signal (8) sent by a control module (5), a video signal (9,13) reproduceable on an associated visualisation apparatus (4) comprising at least one portion of said images, as arranged in each single frame for at least one of said single frames, so as to support the user in recognising said determined transport configuration.

A method is described for ensuring continuity of service of a portable navigation device (10) in the event of insufficient reception of GNSS satellite signals, wherein the user provides the portable navigation device (10) with first data relating to the current position of the device (10) through data input means (115), and wherein the personal navigation device (10), in order to calculate its own position, uses said first data entered by the user and second data coming from localization tools (105,110,127,170,180,190) associated with the portable navigation device (10) and not using GNSS satellite signals.

The present invention relates to a method for processing a video stream of digital images, the method comprising the steps of: receiving the video stream which comprises at least one composite frame containing a pair of stereoscopic digital images according to a predetermined packing format; receiving metadata which describes the format of the composite frame; generating an output video stream which can be reproduced on a visualization device, wherein the method further comprises the steps of determining the area in the composite frame which is occupied by one image of the stereoscopic pair within the composite frame based on said metadata; extracting the image contained in said area from the composite frame, and generating an output frame containing said extracted image.

A video stream composed of combined video frames, and methods and systems for its generation, transmission, reception and reproduction are described; the video frames have a first resolution and comprise in their entirety two contents usable through extraction from the aforesaid video frame: a first content belonging to a video stream (F1) at a second resolution lower than the first resolution of the frame; and, in the area of the frame formed by the remaining pixels, at least a second content belonging to an information stream (F2) having, in the case where it is also a video stream, a resolution equal to or less than the second resolution, where during the fruition of one of the two video streams it is shown full-screen in its entirety, or in the case of a data information stream, data encoded via a set of pixels, the number of which is less than or equal to the number of pixels left free by the first video stream.
