Abstract: The invention relates to a mold divider for fitting in a conventional slab mold ( 1 ) having laterally adjustable narrow-side parts for selective casting of several strands with changeable strand widths. The mold divider consists of a housing ( 3 ) fixedly securable relative to the mold ( 1 ), between the broad-side plates ( 2 ) and having bilaterally adjustable, in a broad-side direction of the mold ( 1 ), adjusting organs ( 4 ), with supporting plates ( 5 ) provided at their ends and with the narrow-side heat-exchanger plates ( 6 ) arranged thereon.

Abstract: Divisor de coquilla para el montaje en una coquilla de desbaste (1) con partes laterales estrechas (5) configuradas para el ajuste lateral con objeto de la fundición opcional de varias coladas con anchuras variables de las coladas, que comprende una carcasa (3) que se puede incorporar en la coquilla (1) de forma fija estacionaria con respecto a sus placas laterales anchas (2) y con órganos de ajuste (4) que se pueden instalar a ambos lados en la dirección de la anchura de la coquilla con placas de soporte (5) presentes en sus extremos y con placas de intercambio de calor (6) de lados estrechos dispuestas en estas placas de soporte, caracterizado porque los órganos de ajuste (4) se pueden accionar con la ayuda de medios de accionamiento (10) integrados en la carcasa (3) a través de engranajes así como a través de árboles de accionamiento (13) por medio de motores externos y posibilitan un ajuste durante la fundición o en las pausas de la fundición, y porque todos los órganos de ajuste (4) están equipados con una placa de soporte (5) de una manera independiente entre sí con medios de accionamiento separados.
