Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed shear for cutting hot and cold strips capable of accurately cutting even of a thin strip with thickness up to 0.8 mm, for example, at a strip speed of substantially 20/mm. SOLUTION: The high-speed shear transversely cuts the rolling strip with a pair of rotation drivable cutter support bodies facing to each other. The cutter support bodies 1, 1' are supported by one common shear cassette on both sides at a defined interval, and the shear cassette 2 is disposed in the outer frame and provided with a hoisting lift means 4 in the outer frame.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed drum shear for steel plate simplified in the structure for synchronizing drums when an accurate position of a cutter is required in cutting. SOLUTION: In this invention related to a high-speed shear for dividing an especially thin rolled steel plate in the cross direction, at least one cutter 7 arranged on two drums 1, 2 facing to each other is provided with a cutting edge, namely, a cutting blade 8, and this cutting blade can be accelerated by the feeding speed of a rolled steel plate 9 to be cut, and the drums are provided with a depressor device separately controllable to a cutting position or an opening and passing position. The drums have teeth formed so as to be engaged with each other for synchronization at an opening position and a closing position and so that the synchronization is secured when a large looseness exists between the drums at the opening position and so that the teeth are practically engaged with each other without generating looseness between the drums at a cutting position.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a high speed shear for cutting a steel plate so as to surely perform an exact cutting in case of fast steel plate speed and in case of minimum steel plate thickness. SOLUTION: This high speed shear is provided with a first cutter drum 1 having a comparatively large diameter and a second cutter drum 2 having a comparatively small diameter which are connected with a gear transmission by rotation and divides a rolled steel plate 10 in a width direction. The drums 1, 2 are fixed and supported at each of two supporting portions within a machine frame. The shear is provided with a means for guiding the steel plate 10 through a gap between the drums 1, 2 by straining the steel plate 10 in a longitudinal direction before and after the cutter drums 1, 2. When the steel plate 10 under tensile stress is carried through the shear, the steel plate 10 is supported by a transfer roller or energized by the transfer roller. The transfer roller lifts the steel plate 10 every time before the transfer roller passes a cutter 7 on a lower side and lowers the steel plate 10 before the transfer roller passes a cutter 8 on an upper side.
