Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To harmonize a rolling stand frame into power generated through the rolling process by simplifying fabrication, handling procedures and construction of a rolling stand frame. SOLUTION: A module constructional rolling mill, in particular a rolling stand frame of a skew rolling mill or a disher rolling mill provided with a roll supported rotatably by the rolling stand is formed by a cast metal housing, a welded metallic plate housing, or a forged housing and this housing is fixed to a sole plate fixed firmly and cast on a foundation. The rolling stand frame can be composed of a double housing frame 7, 8 fixed and opposed to the sole plate, and this double housing frame is provided with an upper side cassette 9 for the upper roll unit 11 isolating the frame and a lower side cassette 10 for the lower roll unit 12, and both double housing frames are fastened tightly and fixed each other by a plurality of tensile elements 13 placed vertically and/or horizontally.
