Abstract: An oscillating device for continuous casting molds (1) for casting molten metal, particularly molten steel material, comprises a number of springs (5) , spring assemblies (5a) or spring bundles (5b). These springs, spring assemblies and spring bundles extend between a stationary mold frame (2) and coupling points or fixing points (4), support the continuous casting mold (1 ), and are set in controlled oscillatory motions such as resonance oscillations by means of pairs of drives. Destructive corrosion caused by chemicals durin g continuous casting is avoided by the use of these springs (5), spring assemblies (5a) or spring bundles (5b) that are all made of fiber composites (6).

Abstract: The invention relates to a wall (100) of a casting die for casting a molten metal. Die walls comprising a front plate (110) with a pocket borehole (112) and a rear plate (120) with a transversal borehole (122) aligned with the pocket borehole, on the cold side of the die front plate, are known in prior art. The aim of the invention is prevent the entrance of cooling liquid from the transition region (115), between the front plate (110) and the rear plate (120), into the pocket borehole (112) or the transversal borehole (122). To this end, a sealing element (140) having a longitudinal borehole is arranged in the transition region (115) in such a way that the longitudinal borehole of the sealing element is at least approximately aligned with the transversal borehole (122) in the rear plate of the die and the pocket borehole (112) in the front plate of the die.

To shorten the maintenance, dismounting, and mounting times and thus to reduce shutdown time and expense, it is proposed that a first assembly (7) consist of guide elements (4) and support members (5) and a second assembly (8) consist of the oscillation device (6), wherein the second assembly (8) can be dismounted through a lateral outlet (9) that extends transversely to the plane of symmetry (2) below the guide elements (4) or between guide elements (4), and wherein each of the two assemblies (7, 8) can be dismounted or remounted independently of the other assembly (7, 8) with respect to time and location.
