Abstract: A method and device for controlled straightening and cooling of a wide metal strip, especially a steel strip or sheet metal, running out of a hot rolled strip rolling mill, using pinching rollers arranged in the moving direction of the strip behind vertical double rollers, said pinching rollers producing a tensile stress acting in a longitudinal direction. According to the invention, the range of use of conventional sheet metal cooling systems can be extended to obtain a more even surface of said steel strip with an increased cooling effect. This is achieved by displacing the metal strip or sheet metal between a pre-straightening machine and splash cooling facility in defined conditions of tensile stress by adjusting the tensile stress and by cooling said strip or sheet metal inside said splash cooling facility between successive pairs of pinching rollers and by additionally controlling the tensile stress.

To improve the heat treatment, the heat treatment is carried out online such that it is decoupled from the preceding cooling and straightening, while taking into account the speed at which the sheet exits from the final workstation upstream, the time at which the heat treatment begins is selected in such a way that the sheet has completely left this final workstation before the sheet is subjected to the heat treatment.

Abstract: Procedimiento para enderezar y refrigerar de forma controlada un fleje metálico (1) ancho que sale de un laminador de fleje caliente, en especial fleje de acero o chapa (1), en donde el fleje metálico o la chapa es guiado(a) dentro de una refrigeración por inyección (8) primero mediante un rodillo doble, que comprende dos rodillos aislados (3, 4) dispuestos verticalmente uno sobre el otro, y a continuación a través de al menos una primera pareja de rodillos de aplastamiento (5a) dispuesta en la dirección de rodadura del fleje (2) detrás del rodillo doble (3, 4); el fleje metálico circula a través de una primera unidad de refrigeración (9) entre el rodillo doble (34) y la primera pareja de rodillos de aplastamiento (5a); y generándose en el fleje metálico una tensión de tracción, que actúa en dirección longitudinal, entre el rodillo doble (3, 4) y la primera pareja de rodillos de aplastamiento (5a); caracterizado porque el fleje metálico (1) o la chapa circula, antes de su entrada en el rodillo doble (3, 4), a través de una máquina de pre-enderezado (7) con rodillos enderezadores y motores de accionamiento giratorio asociados; y entre la máquina de pre-enderezado (7) y el rodillo doble (3, 4) no circula a través de ninguna unidad de refrigeración (9), pero se somete a tensiones de tracción definidas mediante la regulación de los motores de accionamiento giratorio para los rodillos enderezadores de la máquina de pre-enderezado (7).
