The trichloride may be the cocrystallized form with AlCl 3 , obtained by organoaluminium reduction of TiCl 4 . The TiCl 4 is used in the liquid, undiluted form. The TiCl 3 may be supported. The product is used in preparing Zeigher-Natta polymerization catalysts (see Division C3).
