Abstract: A USB apparatus (1) or a USB hub apparatus (1) having a USB port (1a) to be used for transmitting and receiving information to and from a host computer (2) according to the USB protocol is provided with a power supplying means (1d) for supplying power to each internal section of the USB apparatus or the USB hub apparatus, a power supply voltage detecting means (1b) for detecting presence/absence of a power supply voltage to be supplied from the host computer (2) to the USB port (1a), and a supply power control means (1c) for controlling the power that is supplied by the power supplying means (1d) in accordance with a detection result of the power supply voltage detecting means (1b). The power supply voltage detecting means (1b) detects a power supply voltage that is supplied from the host computer (2) to the USB port (1a) and informs the supply power control means (1c) of the detection result. The supply power control means (1c) causes the power supplying means (1d) to stop supplying power to each internal section of the USB apparatus or the USB hub apparatus if no power is supplied from the host computer (2) to the USB port (1a), i.e. when the power of the host computer is off, and controls the power supplying means (1d) to supply ordinary power to each internal section of the USB apparatus or the USB hub apparatus if power is supplied from the host computer (2) to the USB apparatus or the USB hub apparatus.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely attain reproduction processing even when an external facsimile signal is selected from an external storage reproducing device by providing a time constant of a loop filter of a phase locked loop circuit variably. CONSTITUTION:A demodulation section 4 is provided, which receives a reception facsimile signal from a reception section 4 and an external facsimile signal from an external recording and reproducing device 5 selectively. A phase locked loop circuit 7 for data clock is provided on the demodulation section 4. Then the time constant of the loop filter of the phase locked loop circuit 7 is formed variably. Thus, even when the external facsimile signal is selected, the time constant of the loop filter is set to have a wide lock range even at the selection of the external facsimile signal to obtain a tentatively stable data clock, thereby implementing sure signal processing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically record a content program by providing a content program discrimination section discriminating a content program number in a facsimile signal demodulated by a demodulation section and a control section controlling the recording of a facsimile signal onto a recording section when the content program number discrimination section discriminates the content program number. CONSTITUTION:A reception section 2 receives a television signal and extracts a facsimile signal superimposed on an audio signal and outputs it to a demodulation section 3. The demodulation section 3 demodulates a facsimile signal subjected to 4-phase modulation and the demodulated facsimile signal is outputted respectively to a G3 facsimile decode section 4 and a data discrimination section 5. When a content program number discrimination section 5 discriminates a content program number in the facsimile signal, the section 5 outputs a content program number start signal and when the content program number discrimination section 5 discriminates a page end signal of a final page, the section 5 outputs a program end signal to a control section 8 respectively. Then a printer 6 prints out the signal for the period between the print start signal and the print stop signal from the control section 8. Thus, the content program is recorded automatically.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To record a reservation program onto an external recorder without provision of any special interface by providing a facsimile signal output terminal through which a facsimile signal is fed externally and an external power supply terminal through which the power supply is fed externally only for the playing of a program reserved by a control signal to the facsimile receiver. A system control section 7 always a facsimile signal sent from a G3 facsimile decode section 6 and outputs a control signal commanding start of power application to an AC outlet section 10 when the program number and the page number of the facsimile signal are coincident with the reserved program number and the start page to allow the DAT 11 to receive the power supply through an external power supply terminal t3. Then the DAT 11 is set in the recording mode and the recording of the facsimile signal is started.
