Abstract: Un aparato de comunicación (1) para enviar y recibir datos mediante ondas electromagnéticas, que comprende: medios de generación (18) de ondas electromagnéticas, destinados a formar un campo de radiofrecuencia mediante la generación de ondas electromagnéticas; medios de modulación (19), destinados a enviar datos a una de una pluralidad de velocidades de transmisión mediante la modulación de ondas electromagnéticas; y medios de desmodulación (13), destinados a desmodular ondas electromagnéticas con el fin de captar o adquirir datos enviados desde otro aparato (2) a una de una pluralidad de velocidades de transmisión; caracterizado por que comprende, adicionalmente: un detector (23), configurado para llevar a cabo un procedimiento de detección para detectar un campo de radiofrecuencia dentro de un primer periodo de tiempo antes de que el aparato de comunicación (1) inicie una comunicación con otro aparato de comunicación (2), y dentro de un segundo periodo de tiempo después de que el aparato de comunicación (1) haya recibido una petición procedente de dicho otro aparato de comunicación (2) y antes de que el aparato de comunicación (1) responda a la petición de dicho otro aparato de comunicación (2), de tal manera que el primer periodo de tiempo se define por TIDT + nxTRFW, donde TIDT es un primer tiempo de retardo inicial, n es un primer número aleatorio y TRFW es un primer tiempo de espera de radiofrecuencia, y dicho aparato de comunicación (1) está configurado para generar un primer campo de radiofrecuencia cuando no se detecta un campo de radiofrecuencia por el detector (23) dentro del primer periodo de tiempo, el segundo periodo de tiempo se define por TADT +n''xTRFW, donde TADT es un segundo tiempo de retardo activo, n'' es un segundo número aleatorio; TIDT + nxTRFW es mayor que TADT +n''xTRFW, y dicho aparato de comunicación (1) está configurado para generar un segundo campo de radiofrecuencia cuando no se detecta un campo de radiofrecuencia por el detector (23) dentro del segundo periodo de tiempo, de tal modo que el aparato de comunicación (1) está configurado para enviar datos con el fin de solicitar una identificación ID para identificar el otro aparato (2) mediante la modulación de dicho primer campo de radiofrecuencia, y cesar de generar dicho primer campo de radiofrecuencia cuando se han enviado dichos datos para solicitar una identificación ID, y para captar o adquirir la ID enviada desde el otro aparato (2) en contestación a la petición de ID, de tal modo que la ID enviada desde el otro aparato (2) incluye un número aleatorio generado en el otro aparato (2); de tal forma que el aparato de comunicación (1) está configurado de manera que: los datos que incluyen la ID del otro aparato (2) se envían como datos para el otro aparato (2) mediante la modulación de dicho segundo campo de radiofrecuencia tras haber adquirido la ID del otro aparato (2), y los datos para solicitar la ID se envían de nuevo si la ID del otro aparato (2) no se ha captado adecuadamente.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a communication system and communication method which enable various types of near field communication, and a data processing apparatus. NFC communication apparatuses 1 to 3 have two features in that each can perform communication in two communication modes and that each can perform data transmission at a plurality of transfer rates. The two communication modes consist of a passive mode and an active mode. In the passive mode, between the NFC communication apparatuses 1 and 2, for example, the NFC communication apparatus 1 transmits data to the NFC communication apparatus 2 by modulating electromagnetic waves generated by itself, while the NFC communication apparatus 2 transmits data to the NFC communication apparatus 1 by performing load modulation on the electromagnetic waves generated by the NFC communication apparatus 1. Alternatively, in the active mode, either of the NFC communication apparatuses 1 and 2 transmits data by modulating electromagnetic waves generated by itself. The present invention can be applied to, for example, an IC card system, etc.

When the electromagnetic wave at the level of the magnetic-flux density TH1 or more for determining the suppression of the output of the carrier is not detected, the communication devices 1 and 3 start the output of the electromagnetic wave. A communication device 2 needs the electromagnetic wave at the level of a magnetic-flux density TH2 or more of the carrier at an operating limit, which is higher than the magnetic-flux density TH1 for determining suppression of the output of carrier so as to obtain data via the electromagnetic wave. The present invention is applied to, e.g., an IC (Integrated Circuit) card system.
