Abstract: In a disk cartridge for charging therein a plurality of disks so that the disks are stacked therein, slide tabs for removing a desired disk are slidably provided along disk discharge and charge directions, and click engaging portions for temporarily locking the slide tabs at a predetermined positions along a sliding direction are offset by a predetermined amount along the sliding direction between the stages so as not to be aligned vertically along disk storage stages, thereby reducing a load of a drive mechanism for aligning the slide tabs at the side of the apparatus body.

After completion of the tape cassette loading by the tape cassette transfer mechanism, the tape cassette is partially exposed to the cassette inserting opening to prevent a second tape cassette from being introduced into the cassette inserting opening after completion of loading of the first-mentioned cassette.
