    Abstract: A scheme is provided for allowing the user to register adjustable items arbitrary selected from menus as a customized menu, and for preferentially displaying the customized menu, when displayed on a screen, at the highest hierarchical level of menu hierarchy, thus reducing menu operations. Adjustable items in menus frequently selected by the user are registered at the highest hierarchical level of the menu hierarchy and first displayed on the screen to allow each user to select an adjustable item with an extremely small number of menu operations, thereby making it possible to enable the user to rapidly and easily select a desired adjustable item.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform almost all setting and adjustment, etc., relating to the respective kinds of the functions of a monitoring device with an extremely small key number by providing a tablet key capable of moving a cursor and changing an adjustment value by a pressurizing operation and a sliding operation. SOLUTION: For a tablet sheet 5A-1 for constituting the tablet key, the resistance bodies R1 and R2 of carbon for instance are arranged so as to face each other and brought into contact at the pressurized position P by the pressurizing operation. Then, by simply pressurizing the tablet key provided on the panel surface of the monitoring device or operating the finger so as to be slid in a vertical direction in the state of pressurizing it with the finger, the cursor is moved on a menu screen and the adjustment value of an item selected at present is changed. Thus, a user performs the respective kinds of operations corresponding to the position information of pressurizing the tablet key and the movement information of sliding it.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select adjustment items selected by respective users with less menu operations by adding and eliminating a customization menu composed of the adjustment items arbitrarily selected and registered by the user. SOLUTION: The customization menu 22 is added and eliminated. to/from a hierarchical menu by the selection of 'ON/OFF' which is one of the adjustment items of the menu and is positioned in the highest hierarhicy of the hierarchical menu preferably. Thus, by adding and eliminating the menu adjustment item often selected by the user to/from the hierarchical menu, the required adjustment item is quickly and easily selected and appropriately adjusted by the extremely less menu operations.
