Abstract:
In a video reproducing device for reproducing contents recorded in a disc and the like, user operation control is easily performed. A video reproducing device (100) selects a plurality of video streams previously stored in a disc and reproduces them. A reproduction control part (206) is configured to reproduce the video stream in one of two reproducing modes, which are a normal mode wherein a specific key input relating to video reproduction is accepted and a menu mode wherein the specific key input is not accepted. The mode for reproducing the video stream can be written in a script file recorded in the disc by a contents creator.
Abstract:
To ensure compatibility of apparatus, seamless_connection_flag is set to 1 when a succeeding play item can be reproduced in seamless reproduction consecutive to a previous play item and set to 0 when seamless reproduction cannot be guaranteed.
Abstract:
A data recording device and method, a data reproduction device and method, an information recording medium, a program-containing medium, and a program capable of accurately identify a reproduction position when data recorded on the information recording medium is edited. When an AV stream file is edited, a DV recording/reproduction device assigns a DVF-sequence as DVF-sequence#0, DVF-sequence#1 for each of the continuous frames. By erasing data on sector basis, data of the erased frame remains at the head and end of the DVF-sequence#0 and DVF-sequence#1. The lengths of these data lds0, lds1, tds0, tds1 are recorded on a disc. Moreover, the frame numbers ofn0, ofn1 of the starting frame of the DVF-sequence#0 ad DVF-sequence#1 and the number of frames nf0, nf1 are recorded on the disc. The present invention can be applied to a DV recording/reproduction device for recording video data on an optical disc.
Abstract:
It is possible to realize variable-speed reproduction without deteriorating the image quality. For RAPI from a RAPI information extractor (423), a controller (425) selects one of its address, PTS of the intra-picture immediately after, and the end position of the intra-picture and the second, third, fourth reference image, and creates EP_map() in the clip information file, which is accumulated in an output server (426). That is, among the four reference image end positions (1stRef_Picture, 2ndRef_Picture, 3rdRef_Picture, 4thRef_Picture), the controller (425) copies a value near to a predetermined number of sectors (the number of sectors which can be read out at once in the encode processing) in N-th_Ref_picture_copy, decides index_minus1 according to the N^th_Ref_picture_copy, and records it in a disc.
Abstract:
It is possible to realize the interactive function having a higher degree of freedom in a reproduction-dedicated optical disc having a large capacity. A virtual player model corresponding to the player function is built and it is described by Java. A BD Basic Player (210) detects a user input and a player state transition and generates an event. An object (211) having a listener interface registers in the BD Basic Player (210) an event listener corresponding to an event to be received, before generation of the event and deletes it when it has become unnecessary. When an event is generated, the BD Basic Player (210) transmits an event to an object (211) where the corresponding event listener is registered. The object (211) executes a method corresponding to the received event. It is possible to flexibly set the relationship between the event and the method and easily realize the complicated interactive function.
Abstract:
The present technology relates to a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a recording medium that enable content having a wide dynamic range of brightness to be displayed with an appropriate brightness. A recording medium, on which the reproduction device of an aspect of the present technology performs reproduction, records coded data of an extended video that is a video having a second brightness range that is wider than a first brightness range, brightness characteristic information that represents a brightness characteristic of the extended video, and brightness conversion definition information used when performing a brightness conversion of the extended video to a standard video that is a video having the first brightness range. The reproduction device outputs data of the extended video after adding frame information including the brightness characteristic information to frame data when information acquired from a display device that is to be an output destination of the video includes information representing a display performance of the extended video, and when no information representing the display performance of the extended video is included, outputs the data of the standard video. The present technology can be applied to a player that reproduces content.
