Abstract:
The present invention provides a data transmission apparatus which enhances the safety with respect to leakage of encoded transmitted data by raising the safety of transmission of an encoding key or a decoding key. It provides a large capacity transmission line 152 such as a satellite transmission line for transmitting a large amount of data and a small capacity transmission line 156 such as a public telephone line for transmitting an encoding key or decoding key or information for the generation of them. The encoding session key 107 is generated by using a work key and a destination address of a receiving apparatus of the destination. Further, the decoding session key 108 is generated using one's own address and the work key. The work key is preferably encoded and transmitted through the small capacity transmission line 156. In the transmitting apparatus 101, in addition to the encoding of the data 105 which should be transmitted by using the encoding session converted as described above, transmission control information such as destination data is added and is transmitted to the receiving apparatus 102 through the large capacity transmission line 152. In the receiving apparatus 102, the encoded data 110 is decoded by using the decoding session key 108 converted as described above.
Abstract:
A data transmitter which improves the safety of the transmission using an enciphering key of a decoding key and improves the safety against the leakage of the enciphered transmission data. A large capacity transmission line (152) such as a satellite transmission line through which large capacity data are transmitted and a small capacity transmission line (156) such as a public telephone line which transmits an enciphering key, a decoding key or information for generating these keys are provided. An enciphering session key (107) is generated by using a work key and the address of the receiver on the receiving side. A decoding session key (108) is generated by using the own address and the work key. The work key is, preferably, enciphered and transmitted on the small capacity transmission line (156). In a transmitter (101), not only the data (105) to be transmitted are enciphered by using the enciphering session which is thus converted as described above, but also the transmission control information such as the address data are added to the data (105) and transmitted to a receiver (102) through the large capacity transmission line (152). The enciphered data (110) are decoded by using the decoding session keys (108), which is converted as described above.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system wherein one recording apparatus records program contents on behalf of other apparatus without jeopardizing the copyright and the other protections with respect to the contents. SOLUTION: Each apparatus cooperating for a reservation recording function with each other via a network stores the same program as that with reservation recording set thereto on its own apparatus in a form of another file in the case of recording the program on behalf of other apparatus. The AV recording apparatus of the video recording proxy agent encrypts the file for the proxy video recording by using a public encryption key of a video recording requester so that the AV recording apparatus recording the program on behalf of the other apparatus can record the contents but cannot view the contents. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut list generation system which can automatically generate and edit a cut list through a network in response to users' requests. SOLUTION: The cut list generation system comprises an advertisement producing terminal device, a center server, and a network for mutually connecting the advertisement producing terminal device and the center server. The center server of the cut list generation system is provided with a storage device for storing video content data generated by the advertisement producing terminal device and a cut list generator which accesses video content data stored in the storage device from the advertisement producing terminal device to temporally divide the video content data stored in the storage device by selected scenes and generates template data for a list of video content scenes. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-way communication system capable of receiving information required for a user from a mating terminal. SOLUTION: In this two-way communication system transmitting and receiving voice image information, a distributing units informs a receiving unit of the existence of specific transmission information by electronic message notice after storing the specific transmission information being a transmission object in a storage device. The receiving unit makes access to the storage device of the distributing unit, downloads the specific transmission information, and stores the information in the storage device of the receiving unit.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver musical sound data which have copyright information and are constituted of plural tracks. SOLUTION: In music data constituted of four parts of piano, base, drum and vocal, the constitution of project data 81 dealt by a management center consist of every part as independent track in. The tracks 1 to 4 have independent copyright information. Namely, copyright information are recorded in the tracks 1 to 4 when the respective tracks 1 to 4 are generated by different writers. When the track of the new part is added to project data 81 and different project data is generated, for example, copyright information of the respective tracks are prevented from being deleted.

SOLUTION: The constitution of project data 81, handled by a management center in the music data consisting of four parts, for example, a piano, bass, drum and vocal holds as the tracks independent with each part. The tracks 1 to 4 respectively have the independent copyright information. Namely, even when the respective tracks 1 to 4 are formed by different composers, the copyright information is recorded in the respective tracks 1 to 4 and even when the track of the fresh part is added at, for example, the project data 81, and even when the different project data is formed, the copyright information of the respective tracks will not be deleted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the format converter with a simple configuration that conducts format conversion processing for plural resources at the same time. SOLUTION: The format converter converts a data format of supplied data of each resource into a packetted data format in the prescribed unit where a serial number is given to each resource. The format converter is provided with a division means 56 that divides sequentially supplied data into plural division data in a prescribed unit and provides an output, count means 61A-61N that count individually and respectively number of division data outputted from the division means for each resource and a packet processing means that adds a count corresponding to the count means to each of division data outputted from the division means as a serial number for each resource, based on the count result of the count means and applies packet processing to the resulting data.

The information discrimination section 224 discriminates the received data DTb based on a bit C denoting the validity. Then the prescribed discriminated data DTb1, DTb2 are stored in the data storage section 223 or outputted to a data replacement section 225 and replaced with the prescribed data DTb1 stored in the data storage section 223.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for recording video images whose recording capacity is in excess of the simultaneously recordable capability of one recording apparatus. SOLUTION: Many video recording apparatuses are always connected to a broadbanded network and share video recording operations and recording areas with each other by mutually providing inoperative resources by means of cooperation. Each AV recording apparatus ordinarily records video images in its built-in storage device. However, on the occurrence of a video recording request whose recording capacity exceeds the simultaneously recordable capability, the video recording apparatus utilizes the inoperative resources of the other video recording apparatuses cooperated on the network to record the video images on request.
