Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of executing a desired processing by simple operation, for example, using a jog dial. SOLUTION: When a rotary encoder part 12 of the jog dial 4 is rotated to either of left or right, a rotation detecting part 85 detects whether it is clockwise rotation or counterclockwise rotation, based on timing of signals A and B. When a fact that it is the clockwise rotation is detected, a clockwise rotation pulse is supplied to a counter (1) 86 of an embedded controller 68. When a fact that the rotation is the counterclockwise rotation, a counterclockwise rotation pulse is supplied to a counter (2) 87 of the embedded controller 68. The imbedded controller 68 executes a jog dial state monitoring program 70E and monitors changed quantity of the counter (1) 86, the counter (2) 87, difference between them and whether or not the jog dial 4 is depressed by polling of 5 ms. When a fact that the changed quantity is detected or a depressed state is changed is decided, the present depressed state and the changed quantity of the jog dial 4 are notified by way of an I/O register by interruption via a host bus.
