Abstract: A disc loading device for loading discs of different diameters on a disc rotating driving device provided within a outer casing is disclosed. The discs are the recording media on which information signals are pre-recorded or are to be recorded. The disc loading device includes a supporting base provided with the disc rotating driving device for rotationally driving the discs, and a disc transporting tray for holding and transporting the discs. The disc transporting tray is arranged above the supporting base and is movable between a position in which it is drawn into an outer casing containing the supporting base and a position in which it is drawn out of the outer casing. The disc transporting tray includes a first positioning recess for holding and positioning the disc having a first diameter, a second positioning recess for holding and positioning the disc having a second diameter lesser than the first diameter, and a third positioning recess for holding and positioning the disc having a third diameter lesser than the second diameter to enable the three types of the discs having respective different diameters to be loaded selectively on the disc rotating driving device.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical disk from being scratched due to contact by supporting the outer-periphery edge of the outer-periphery surface of a disk- shaped recording medium from both sides to support the recording medium from both sides and to support the recording medium nearly vertically. SOLUTION: When an optical disk D is housed at a disk storage part 15 of a rotary table 8, the optical disk D is held in a nearly vertically erected state at each disk storage part 15. Namely, by inserting the optical disk D into the disk storage part 15 and holding the optical disk D with an inner supporting part 20 of an inner support 16 and an outer support part 21 of an outer support body 17, both outer-periphery edges on the outer-periphery surface of the optical disk D are pressed against both inclined surfaces of V-shaped grooves 23 and 24 due to dead weight since the V-shaped groove 23 is formed on the bottom surface of the inner supporting part 20 and the V-shaped groove 24 is formed on the bottom surface of the outer supporting part 21. Then, the weight of the optical disk D is supported at a low part and at the same time the fall of the optical disk D can be prevented at a side part due to the function of both V-shaped grooves 23 and 24.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the checking of the protection of a voice signal with a shockproof memory by performing a detection during an effective operation of a memory with a shockproof memory operation judging circuit to show the results on a display section. CONSTITUTION:A signal read with a magnetooptical head 6 is decoded with a reproduction signal decoder 8 at the reproduction to be stored into a shockproof memory 4. As the supply of the signal to the memory 4 ceases from the decoder 8 because of focal deviation or others, the reading of a reproduction signal left in the memory 4 is performed. A shockproof memory operation judging circuit 9 detects accumulation of the signal of the memory 4 during the recording and a reduction in the signal of the memory 4 during the reproduction is detected to judge that the memory 4 is in effective operation. The results of the judgment are shown on a display section 11 through a display circuit 10. Thus, it can be learned that a voice signal is protected with the shockproof memory.
