Abstract: A method for producing a yttrium oxysulfide fluorescent material is described. In the method, a starting composition is provided which comprises yttrium oxide, a flux of sodium carbonate and sulfur, which are, respectively, added in amounts by mole of at least from 2 to 10 times and from 4 to 20 times an amount of the yttrium oxide. The molar ratio of the sodium carbonate to the sulfur is in the range of from 0.2:1 to 1.25:1. The composition is sintered at a temperature sufficient to provide a small-sized powder of yttrium oxysulfide fluorescent material. This temperature is in a range of 900 DEG C to 1100 DEG C.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reversibility of a resist pattern and suppress generation of remaining resist in a case wherein a resist pattern is reversely developed to form a pattern of a light absorptive material. SOLUTION: A resist having a reciprocity characteristic and to which a silane coupling agent produced by introducing two alkoxyl groups in silicon atom is added is applied to a panel glass 1 and dried and exposure and development are carried out to form a resist pattern 3. A light absorptive material film 4 is so formed as to cover the resist pattern 3, the resist pattern 3 and the light absorptive material film 4 covering immediate above the resist pattern 3 are removed to form a light absorptive material film pattern 5. Then, a phosphor pattern 6 is so formed as to bury the spaces of the light absorptive material pattern 5.

NH4OH aqueous solution or the like is used as the alkali solution and its pH is 8-12.
