    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a tape cassette with a simple construction, where adjustable in size and the device is also usable as a larger size tape cassette of the same tape width, by extending the size into a prescribed size with a cassette extending and contracting mechanism and the draw-out of a tape guide, and incorporating in an adaptor with the specified dimension. CONSTITUTION:In Figure, an example of execution is shwon for the cassette extending and contracting mechanism; two cases 11, 12 are linked with a link mechanism as pantagraph type. That is, one end of link bars 56a, 56b are borne freely rotatably to fixed pins 57a, 57b and the other end is provided with rollers 59a, 59b turning around fixed pins 58a, 58b, and the middle is linked with a pin 60 freely rotatably. The rollers 59a, 59b are moved in guide grooves 61a, 61b provided respectively at the bottom of the cases 11, 12, and the required positioning device of the groove is provided at narrow parts 62a, 62b locking the said rollers 59a, 59b.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure wow and flutter accurately and quickly and to reduce the measuring time, by using a pre-formed reference tape and eliminating the need for recording the reference signal at each measurement with a VTR to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A VTR reproduces a reference tape and supplies a reproduction signal from an audio control head to an input terminal 21. The signal is applied to a frequency discriminator 23 via a limiter 22, the output is at a level corresponding to the frequency variance, and applied via an amplifier 24 to one input terminal 26a of a switch 25 and a filter 27. The output of the filter 27 is applied to the terminal 26b and a low pass filter 28 via an output terminal 26c. A voltage proportional to the amount of wow.flutter is caused at this output and applied to a meter 30 via a meter circuit 29 and also to a display part 31.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of faults dependent upon crosstalk, by phase control for low band conversion of a chroma signal and a delay circuit of one horizontal period. CONSTITUTION:Composite color video signal St is supplied from terminal 21 to filter 22 and has luminance signal Sy separated and is modulated into high-frequency FM signal Sf by FM modulating circuit 23 and is supplied to mixing circuit 24. Signal St is supplied to filter 25 and has chroma signal Sc separated, and this signal Sc is supplied to frequency converting circuit 26. Signal Sy is supplied to synchronization separating circuit 28 simultaneously with this supply, and consequently, frequency conversion signal Sm is supplied from switch 30 to circuit 26. Therefore, low-band signal Sl where the phase of the carrier wave signal is inverted for every one horizontal period on every other tracks is taken out from circuit 26 and is supplied to circuit 24. At a reproducing time, signal Sa is separated into signals Sf and Sl by filters 34 and 37, and signal Sf is demodulated into signal Sy by 35 and is given to mixing circuit 36. Meanwhile, signal Sl is converted to signal Sc by 38 and has crosstalk eliminated by delay circuit 39 and operating circuit 40.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure the linearity of a recording track on the assembly line of a magnetic recording and reproducing device by using a compound magnetic head unit. CONSTITUTION:In a run system for magnetic tape 7 fed out from supply reel 9 and then wound around take-up reel 15, compound magnetic head unit 8 equipped with magnetic head Hc for reproducing control signals and magnetic heads H1-Hn for reproducing measurement signals is arranged between capstan 14 and take-up reel 15. Consequently, when the magnetic tape runs being wound slantingly around external circumference surfaces of upper and lower guide drums 1 and 2 of rotary magnetic head unit 6 by approximately 180 deg., measurement signals of recording tracks T1-T4 recorded slantingly on magnetic tape 7 by magnetic head 4 are reproduced by magnetic heads H1-Hn, and control signals recorded on magnetic tape 7 are reproduced by magnetic head Hc. Therefore, linearity of recording tracks T1-T4 can be meausred on the assembly line of a magnetic recording and reproducing device without using a test tape, etc.

At this time, pulses P4-P6 are applied through differentiators 24-26 to OR circuit 27 to monostable multivibrators 28-30, a signal S6 similar to the torque ripple waveform is obtained by passing through a differential amplifier 32 and a folded curve approximate circuit 34, is used as a correction signal and superposed on the servo signal.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a wow and a flutter effectively by detecting the position where a wow and flutter component detected by a fixed sound head has a maximum value from the wow and flutter component, and fitting a weight body having prescribed weight at a position on a rotary drum which corresponds to said position. CONSTITUTION:A PG signal detected by a PG head 11 is applied to a waveform forming circuit 12, which generates a gate signal for every turn of a rotary drum. This gate signal is divided by the number of tap holes of the rotary drum to generate (n) pieces (n=8 in this case) of sampling pulses. On the other hand, the playback signal of several KHz from a sound head 14 is inputted through an amplifier 15, a limiter 16, a frequency discriminator 17, a sampler 18, and an A/D converter 19 to an arithmetic processing circuit 20, whose output is inputted to a display device 21. A counter 22 counts the maximum level of the output voltage of the discriminator 17 and then sends its count information to the display device 21. Therefore, address number information on a wow and a flutter is inputted to the display device 21 to display what tap hole of the rotary drum a weight should be screwed into and how heavy the weight should be.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the track pattern approximate to the ideal straight line, by assembling the rotary head so as to secure the same trend between the shift of the tape guide lead provided to the fixed lower drum and the shift of the locus of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary head is produced, the trend is measured previously for both the shift from the ideal straight line (a) of the lead 6 provided to the fixed lower drum and the shift from the ideal straight line of the head's locus which is caused by the fall of the shaft when the rotary head 3 is attached to the rotary shaft 1. In the case of assembly, the shifts having the same trend are combined. As a result, the shift from the ideal curve (a') of the track pattern caused by the former shift are offset to the shift of the track pattern caused by the latter shift. Thus the track pattern approximates to the ideal straight line.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a fault due to crosstalk by increasing a spacing loss between a magnetic head for special effect reproduction and a magnetic tape by displacing a bimorph plate provided to the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:In normal recording or reproduction, a large voltage is applied to control terminal 5 of bimorph plate 3 from a control signal source to curve bimorph plate 3 much as shown in the figure. As a result, a butt angle between magnetic head 2 for special effect reproduction and magnetic tape 20 deviateds from 90 degrees to widen a gap, thereby increasing a spacing loss. Therefore, even if crosstalk happens in recording, a recording signal never deteriorates due to overlap recording and since the reproduced signal of head 2 is extremely small in level in normal reproduction, no ghost appears on a reproducing screen. Thus, a fault due to crosstalk can be removed in VTR providing special reproduction.
