Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of performing a labeling process more rapidly than in the past. SOLUTION: In a picked up image represented by binarized data Din, each pixel is sequentially scanned. During the sequential scan, additional information (position information and area information) of each connection area corresponding to each label information is updated at any time while allocating, at any time, while a register number (the label information) showing an identification number of each connection area inside the picked up image is allocated at any time in a pixel of interest according to values of pixel data of the notice pixel and peripheral pixels thereof. Thereby, the label information, the position information, and the area information about the whole picked up images can be respectively obtained by a single sequential scan.
