Abstract: PURPOSE: To lengthen length of a suspension elastically holding a magnetic modulation head and to make a following characteristic of the magnetic field modulation head to surface wobbling of a magneto-optical disk good even when a cartridge of a vertically opening type shutter or a cartridge of obliquely opening type shutter is used. CONSTITUTION: An opening part 17A of the upper surface of a cartridge body 12 is arranged shifting to the suspension 18 side by [(W/2-a/2)-α] in a magneto-optical disk cartridge 10 of a vertically opening type shutter. Thereby, since the length of the suspension 18 can be lengthened more than conventional length, a following characteristic of a magnetic field modulation head 15 for a magneto-optical disk 13 can be made good, while the influence of surface wobbling of the magneto-optical disk 13 can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable recording on a magneto-optical disk in both modes of a low linear velocity and a high linear velocity by providing a sliding surface and an air bearing surface on a magnetic field modulating head. CONSTITUTION:On the surface where the magnetic modulating head confronts the magneto-optical recording medium, the sliding surface 35 sliding against the recording medium and the air bearing surface 31 keeping the floating state with a specified distance against the recording medium are provided. By this arrangement, the distance between a head core 34 and the disk is adequately maintained even at a low linear velocity, since the sliding surface 35 is brought into contact with the disk at the recording time in the case of using a sliding system. At the time of a high linear velocity, the air bearing surface 31 is functioned by a dynamic pressure floating system, therefore, the magnetic field modulating head is floated in the adequate floating amount by the dynamic pressure generated between the magnetic field modulating head and the disk.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate eccentricity of a highly reliable track in small size and low power consumption structure. SOLUTION: An optical disc drive is provided with a position adjusting section 16 at the position corresponding to a center hole 15 of an optical disc 10 when it is loaded on a turntable. The position adjusting section 16 has three actuators 21A to 21C which can be pressed in the directions different at 120 degrees at the internal wall of the center hole 15. Each actuators 21A to 21C is projected, when it is radiated by laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser 20, to the external side in the diameter direction to move the optical disc 10 in the horizontal direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To propose a motion picture film traveling device capable of drastically reducing the reproducing error of a signal recorded in an area other than the picture recording area of motion picture film. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a reproducing part reproducing information optically recorded in the specified area of the motion picture film 41 based on light transmitted through the film 41 by irradiating the specified area of the film 41 with the light; and a shake preventing means 80 provided in the reproducing part and preventing the film 41 from being shaken in the thickness direction of the film 41 at the time of traveling by interposing an area between traveling synchornizing holes plurally formed in the longitudinal direction of the film 41 at the end in the width direction of the film 41 or only the area outside the traveling synchronizing hole of the film 41 from both sides of the film 41. Thus, the reproducing error of the signal recorded in the area other than the picture recording area of the motion picture film is drastically reduced by this device.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the surface wobbling of a disk so as to perform good recording/reproducing by providing a light source for emitting a light having a wavelength equal to a specified wavelength or lower, a converging means having an aperture NA equal to a specified aperture or higher for converging a light from the light source on an optical disk and a stabilizing plate arranged opposite the optical disk rotary-driven by a rotating means. SOLUTION: A laser light emitted from a light source is set equal to 650 nm or lower, and a converging means having an aperture NA equal to 0.7 or higher is provided for converging a light on an optical disk. The wavelength of a laser light is shortened to reduce a spot diameter and thus a high recording density is provided. A two-group lens 4 is provided by combining two lenses 4a and 4b, an aperture NA is increased and the optical disk is irradiated with a light. Since the optical disk 6 is brought close to a stabilizing plate 10 and rotated during the rotary-driving of the optical disk 6, a space between the optical disk 6 and the stabilizing plate 10 is pressure-reduced, and the optical disk 6 is attracted to the stabilizing plate 10 and rotated like a flat disk.

SOLUTION: A stabilizing plate 4 for stabilizing a state at the time of the rotational drive of the magneto-optical disk 2 is provided so as to face the magneto-optical disk 2 to be rotationally driven. Then, at the time of the rotational drive of the magneto-optical disk 2, by the rotation of the magneto-optical disk 2, a space held by the magneto-optical disk 2 and the stabilizing plate 4 is turned to an evacuated state. In this case, the magneto-optical disk 2 is extremely thin and is provided with the, flexibility. Thus, the magneto-optical disk 2 is sucked to the stabilizing plate 4 and as a result, the magneto-optical disk 2 is rotated while keeping a fixed interval with the stabilizing plate 4 without causing the surface wobbling.

CONSTITUTION: An adjusting part 25 of a magnetic field modulation head 2, a suspension 23 which is an energizing means, a slider 22 and the head core 21 are inserted into a cartridge body 12 and the spacings between both ends of the elastic deforming part 10 of the suspension 23 and the magneto-optical disk 13 are made into the same size when recording. As a result, the slider 22 and the head core 21 eventually move up and down approximately perpendicularly according to the wobbling of the surface of the magneto-optical disk 13 and, therefore, the lateral deviating amt. of the head core 21 is suppressed.
