Disclosed is a receiving apparatus and method, a sending apparatus and method, recording medium, and a communication system for sending or receiving electronic mail. In operatively associated with a command for opening an electronic mail message, a syntax analysis module extracts a script attached to the electronic mail message as an attachment file and analyzes the syntax of the extracted script. An execution module executes processing corresponding to the data accompanying the script or an input event. An output module controls the outputting of the results of this processing. With this configuration, a sender of electronic mail is allowed to make its recipient to quickly and securely take actions desired by the sender.

A tuner for television receiver is disclosed, which includes a common shielding case, an electronic tuning tuner section having tuning circuits formed by using a vari-cap diode, a plurality of oscillators corresponding to the different receiving bands or the electronic tuning tuner section and receiving a desired frequency by switching a plurality of bands, a PLL (phase locked loop) system channel selection circuit section for supplying a predetermined tuning voltage to the tuning circuits, the electronic tuning tuner section and the PLL system channel selection circuit section both being incorporated in the common shielding case, the plurality of local oscillators and the PLL system channel selection circuit section being located within the common shielding case at its one end portion and substantially on one straight line, external connection terminals aligned on one side plane of the common shielding case for setting the electronic tuning tuner section and the PLL system channel selection circuit section in a desired condition, a shielding plate located within the common shielding case in the direction substantially perpendicular to the arranging line of the external connection terminals and bent at its predetermined portion so as to surround the PLL system channel selection circuit section, a high frequency input terminal and an intermediate frequency output terminal located to the side of the electronic tuning tuner section with respect to the connection point of the shielding plate to the shielding case and a terminal for a channel selection control digital signal located to the side of the PLL system channel selection circuit section with respect to the above connection point.

The tuner includes an electronic tuning tuner section (10) and a PLL system channel selection circuit section (20) which are both incorporated in a common shielding case (1). … A plurality of local oscillators (15V,15U) and the PLL section (20) are located substantially on a straight line within a predetermined end portion of the common shielding case (1). A shielding plate (17) is located within the shielding case (1) in a direction substantially perpendicular to the arranging line of external connection terminals (1c to 1g, 2a to 2c). The shielding plate (17) is bent in said predetermined end portion so as to surround the PLL section (20). A high frequency input terminal (1a) and an intermediate frequency output terminal (1b) are located on the side of the tuning section (10) with respect to the connection point of the shielding plate (17) to the shielding case (1) and a terminal (2a) for a channel selection control digital signal is located on the side of the PLL section (20) with respect to said connection point.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a configuration whereby data which are not displayed on a display part can be observed as a virtual object, at all times.SOLUTION: For example, in data processing applied with a PC, the data which are not displayed on a display part of the PC, e.g. data that are a target of deletion processing or copy processing, are set as a virtual object, are stuck to, for example, a finger of a hand of a user, and can be observed at all times. Accordingly, the data which are not displayed in a display area of the PC are stuck to a space, other than the display area of the PC, are displayed and can be observed so that the efficiency of the data processing is enhanced.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for causing an information processor to execute various processing according to user's voice or gesture.SOLUTION: User's voice is analyzed or image analysis is performed for analyzing user operation (gesture), to determine processing to be executed by an information processor, on the basis of the results of analysis. Furthermore, information including a recognition result of the information processor with respect to the user voice or the user operation is displayed or output by voice as feedback information. Moreover, the response of the information processor to a request from the user or the processing status of the information processor is displayed or output via an avatar substitute for the information processor. Thus, the user executes accurate processing with less error by acquiring the feedback information.

SOLUTION: Provided is an image processing apparatus including: an input image acquisition unit for acquiring an input image generated by taking an image of a real space; an image recognition unit for recognizing a manipulator used for manipulating a virtual object where the manipulator appears in the input image when a first user input representing a start of manipulation is detected; a calculation unit for calculating a position on a screen of a display device at which the virtual object is to be displayed according to a result of the recognition of the manipulator provided by the image recognition unit; a display control unit for displaying the virtual object at the position of the screen of the display device calculated by the calculation unit; and a communication unit for transmitting a first notification signal for notifying the start of manipulation to the other apparatus displaying the same virtual object when the first user input is detected. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for allowing one-hand input operation while holding equipment in one hand. SOLUTION: An image acquisition part 105 of a cellular telephone 10 obtains an image of a finger by bringing the finger closer to a display 13 formed by elements including an imaging element and an image element without touching the display or bringing the finger into touch with the display. A computing part 120 obtains a center-of-gravity position of the finger, based on the image of the finger obtained by the image acquisition part 105. An information generating part 125 obtains a touch area between the finger and the screen on the basis of the image of the finger which generates information for operating the cellular phone 10 based on displacement of the center-of-gravity position of the finger in accordance with the finger's movement. A determination part 115 determines whether or not the finger has touched the screen based on the obtained touch area. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase efficiency in developing a state transition program. SOLUTION: A state transition diagram generation part 14 generates a state transition diagram according to state transition information comprising state data. A display part 18 displays the generated state transition diagram. An operation part 11 operates the displayed state transition diagram. In response to operations by the operation part 11, a state transition engine 15 executes a state transition program stored in a state data storage part 13 to update the state transition information. An event detection part 19 accepts events. An event storage part 23 stores the accepted events as an event list 23a. An event editing part 20 edits the event list 23a stored in the event storage part 23. The technique is applicable to a software program to develop state transition programs.
