Abstract:
A DISK CARTRIDGE (10) IN WHICH A PAIR OF SHUTTER MEMBERS (18A,18B) CAN BE OPENED AND CLOSED SMOOTHLY AND RELIABLY, AND A DUST-PROOF PROPERTY AND AN AIRTIGHTNESS OF A LARGE OPENING PORTION CAN BE INCREASED BY REDUCING A SPACE BETWEEN A PAIR OF SHUTTER MEMBERS (18A,18B) AND A CARTRIDGE HOUSING (12) AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.THE DISK CARTRIDGE (10) COMPRISES A CARTRIDGE HOUSING (12) IN WHICH A DISK COMPARTMENT (16) IS FORMED-BETWEEN AN UPPER SHELL (13) AND A MIDDLE SHELL (14) BY OVERLAPPING THE UPPER SHELL (13),THE MIDDLE SHELL (14) AND THE LOWER SHELL (15) AND THE MIDDLE SHELL (14) IS SUPPORTED BY THE UPPER SHELL (13) AND THE LOWER SHELL(15) SO AS TO BECOME FREALY ROTATABLE, AN OPTICAL DISK (1) ROTATABLY STORED WITHIN THE DISK COMPARTMENT (16) AND A PAIR OF SHUTTER MEMBERS (18A,18B) ATTACHED TO THE MIDDLE SHELL (14) IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THEY CAN BE MOVED IN THE PLANE DIRECTION ON THE SAME PLANE. A SHUTTER OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM FOR OPENING AND CLOSING OPENING PORTIONS (25,42) BY MOVING THE PAIR OF SHUTTER MEMBERS (18A,18B) BASED ROTATION OF THE MIDDLE SHELL (14).(FIG.1)
Abstract:
Disclosed is a disk recording and reproduction apparatus for recording and/or reproduction of optical disks of multiple different formats impossible to record or reproduce with a single pickup. A disk recording and reproduction apparatus containing a base unit (25) with two separate optical pickups (31) and (32) corresponding to two different format types and installed around the center of a turntable (27) for rotating a disk.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge comprising a cartridge casing with a disk accommodation chamber formed inside thereof by overlapping upper and lower shells, and a shutter member for opening/closing an opening part made in the cartridge casing for exposing a part of the disk accommodation chamber, wherein a chuck ring of a table driving device can be dispensed with by supporting the chuck ring formed of a magnetic body attracted by the magnetic force of a magnet provided on a turn table inserted from an opening part into a disk center part in a freely guided manner on the substantially center part of an inner surface of the upper shell.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge, wherein an optical disk (3), an inner shell (4), and shutter members (5a) and (5b) are stored in a cartridge body (2) formed by butt−connecting upper and lower shells (6) and (7) to each other and an opening part (24) provided in the cartridge body is opened and closed by the shutter members by rotating the inner shell, a crank−like dust entry preventing part (21A) for stopping the entry of dust from the mutually butted surface side of the peripheral walls of the upper and lower shells to the optical disk side in the cartridge body is provided inside the mutually butted peripheral walls of the upper and lower shells to protect the optical disk stored in the cartridge body, and the inner shell disposed in the cartridge body comprises a connection part (43a) having an opening part (44) corresponding to the opening part of the cartridge body and connecting the open end side of the opening part, and is formed in such a height that the connection part is not projected to the lower shell side.
Abstract:
A disc, a disc manufacturing method, and a recording/reproducing system capable of knowing which content is recorded on which disc without reproducing the content of a disc. The recording surface (110) of the optical disc (100) has an annular inner area (111A), a cramping area (111B), a transition area (113), an information recording area (114), and a rim area (115) arranged from the inside to the outside in the radial direction. On the transition area (113) of the optical disc (100), the disc identification information is recorded as a storage form of information on the transition area (113). Furthermore, the disc identification information recorded on the optical disc (100) is arranged on the optical disc in such a manner that it is visible from outside.
Abstract:
A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case having an upper shell, a rotary member and a lower shell, a shutter member for opening/closing the opening of the cartridge case, and a shutter fixing means for holding the shutter member in a closed state at a close position, wherein the shutter member is held in an open state at an open position by the shutter fixing means. Since a vibration generated from an external apparatus has no possibility of being transmitted through an open holding mechanism to the disc cartridge, or the like, erroneous operation due to vibration can be prevented at the time of read/write.
Abstract:
A RECORDING MEDIUM DRIVING DEVICE WHICH RECORDS INFORMATION IN OR REPRODUCES INFORMATION FROM THE RECORDING MEDIUM, INCLUDES A DEVICE BODY IN WHICH A RECORDING MEDIUM IS INSERTED AND FROM WHICH THE RECORDING MEDIUM IS REMOVED, A CONVEYING MECHANISM THAT CONVEYS THE RECORDING MEDIUM IN A LOADING DIRECTION AND AN EJECT DIRECTION, A MOUNTING SECTION ON WHICH THE RECORDING MEDIUM IS MOUNTED, A CONVEYANCE ARM THAT MOVES ACCORDING TO MOVEMENT OF THE RECORDING MEDIUM IN THE LOADING DIRECTION AND THE EJECT DIRECTION AND CONVEYS THE RECORDING MEDIUM, AND A DRIVING MECHANISM THAT HAS A DRIVING SOURCE FOR IMPARTING A DRIVING FORCE FOR MOVING THE CONVEYANCE ARM. THE CONVEYANCE ARM INCLUDES A CONTACT SECTION THAT BROUGHT INTO CONTACT WITH THE RECORDING MEDIUM AND AN URGING MEMBER THAT URGES THE CONTACT SECTION IN THE EJECT DIRECTION OF THE RECORDING MEDIUM.
Abstract:
A disc cartridge includes a cartridge body, a first shutter, a second shutter, and a rotational member. The cartridge body includes a disc storage portion, a chucking opening and a head opening. The disc storage portion has a disc window and a bottom and stores a disc, having first and second sides, therein so that the disc is rotatable in the disc storage portion and that the disc exposes the first side inside the disc window. The first and second shutters are provided on the bottom of the disc storage portion to expose or cover the head opening. The rotational member is provided over the first and second shutters inside the disc storage portion and is engaged with the first and second shutters in such a manner as to open or close the first and second shutters when rotates inside the disc storage portion.
