Abstract:
An information search system, an information processing apparatus and method, and an information search apparatus and method for recommending program information corresponding to a user’s interest. A PC extracts a word corresponding to a user’s interest from mail documents transmitted/received by the user and records data on interest. In S121 and S122, when log-in is performed by the user, an HDD recorder requests to acquire data on interest and according to this request, the PC transmits data on interest corresponding to the user logged in. In S123 and S124, the HDD recorder transmits the received data on interest to a server. In S131, the server searches and transmits program information matched with the data on interest received. In S125, the HDD recorder sets a program recording reservation according to the program information contained in the search result. The present invention can be applied to a program installed in a personal computer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program in which a content piece matching preference information of a user or a content piece similar to a specified content piece can be searched for with a smaller amount of computation and can be provided to the user. Each of items of metadata (such as title, artist name, genre, review text, tempo, beat, and rhythm) of music is classified into any of cluster layers (first to n-th layers), and is classified (clustering) into a plurality of clusters provided in the cluster layers into which actual information of each of the items is classified. Then, instead of the metadata, cluster information including cluster IDs (such as CL11 in Fig. 2) of the clusters into which actual information of each of the items of metadata is classified is compiled in a database as information indicating the features of music. The present invention can be applied to a homepage server for recommending a purchase of content such as music data, a video recorder for recommending a recording reservation of a television program, and the like.
Abstract:
Provided are an information processing device and method, and a program, which can provide items suited for the feel (or mood) of a user. A user data acquisition unit (72) acquires the result that the user had decided whether or not an item is relevant to a predetermined mood. An irrelevant filter generation unit (74) acquires from a feature quantity analysis unit (73) the featuring quantity of the item which has been decided not to be relevant to the predetermined mood. The irrelevant filter generation unit (74) analyzes the featuring quantities of plural items acquired, thereby to extract the featuring quantity of the item irrelevant to the predetermined mood. The irrelevant filter generated by the irrelevant filter generation unit (74) is used when it is decided whether or not the predetermined item is one relevant to the predetermined mood. The information processing device can be applied to a server for recommending and providing the item.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately transfer information assigned to some content by a user.SOLUTION: Segment information where a segment having a duration of time for some content is specified and assigned by a user is displayed on a content reproduction screen so as to match a position within the content of the segment. In addition, information indicating the segment specified by the user with respect to reproduced content and segment assignment information assigned to the specified segment are acquired. The present invention can be applied to a content delivery service system, for example.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately recommend items for each user. SOLUTION: An item I-01 is purchased from the purchase histories of a plurality of users, and information showing that there are many users who purchase the item I-03 is generated, and a time-series pattern relating to the purchase of the item is generated. When the item I-01 is purchased by a user U001, the item I-03 which is highly likely to be purchased after the item I-01 is purchased is selected by referring to the time-series pattern, and recommended to the user U001. This invention can be applied to a server which is managed by a store which sells predetermined items on a network. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
