Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent real time transmission of an image and sound from being damaged even through a state of either line is worsened in using two or more lines to dispersively transmit image and sound data. SOLUTION: A rate control part 116 controls operation modes of transmitting parts 111 and 112. In a dispersion mode, when the state of at least one using line between two using lines is worsened more than a fixed state, control is made over an overlapping mode. In the overlapping mode, when the entire states of the two using lines become better than the fixed state, control is made over the dispersion mode. In the dispersion mode, the transmitting parts 111 and 112 divide and transmit packets stored in a transmission queue 115. In the overlapping mode, one transmitting part having the better state of the using line between the transmitting parts 111 and 112 transmits the packets stored in the transmission queue 115, and the other transmitting part transmits a copy of the packets. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter that prevents missing of transmission data by improving the rate control accuracy, and to provide a data transmission method and a program. SOLUTION: A transmitter includes an encoder 104 which encodes data and outputs encoded data, a section 108 for transmitting encoded data to the outside, a section 108 for detecting the quantity of encoded data being transmitted from the transmitting section, and a section 110 for controlling the rate of encoded data to be output from the encoder based on the quantity of data to be transmitted. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely inform a user that the user is approaching his destination. SOLUTION: In steps S11, S12, when a mobile information device discriminates that it receives a destination identification ID sent from a wireless base station for mobile terminals, the mobile information device compares the destination identification ID with registration information stored in a memory. In a step S13, in the case it is determined that matching between the registered destination identification ID and the registration information stored in the memory exists, the mobile information device informs a user about it that the user approaches the destination by sound, light or vibration in a step S14.
