Abstract: An information processing apparatus, method and program for allowing a viewer to find his desired program in a simple manner. Feature words extracted from program information are stored in a serve as a feature word file (103) and also as an association file (102) in which the feature words are associated with ID’s for identifying programs. The server reads, from the association file (102), the ID of a program corresponding to a feature word selected from the feature word file (103) by the viewer as his interested word, and reads, from a program information file (101), the program information corresponding to the read ID, and then provides the program information to the viewer. This invention can be applied to recording/reproducing apparatuses and television receivers that provide desired programs.
