SOLUTION: A molded weight fixing member 34a formed with weight fixing holes 34c having a slit 34d in a position where the quantity adjustment of mass eccentricity can be performed from the outside of the drum unit 1 for rotary head is disposed on the back yoke 34 of a motor 30. Thereby, the insertion of a weight 34b for quantity adjustment of mass eccentricity into the weight fixing member 34a is facilitated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To miniaturize a rotary head drum, to reduce the signal loss, and to easily actualize a multichannel in the compact drum. CONSTITUTION:A connector 4 provided with a cylindrical casing 5, a contact pin 7 and a coil spring 8 is arranged between a connection part 2 of a head base 33 and a transformer substrate. The connector 4 is directly connected to a land forming a terminal for the connection part 2 and for the transformer substrate. By this arrangement, the constitution is simplified, and the setting space is reduced, then the rotary head drum is produced at a low cost and in a small size. Since a setting space of the connector 4 is reduced, the plural connectors 4 can be arranged even in the compact drum, and the multichannel is easily actualized in the compact drum. Further, the signal route is shortened as compared with the case of conventional soldering, and the signal loss is reduced.

A leaf spring connecting terminal 69 to be pressed into contact with the contact point of the magnetic head 17 is provided in the attaching part 67, a contact part 78, with which a leaf spring connecting terminal 43 connected to the first coil 32 is brought into contact, is provided in the end part of the connecting part 68, and a connecting member 66 is provided for connecting the magnetic head 17 with the first coil 32.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce transmission loss of a signal by using a head contact for connecting a rotary transformer with the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:Under the state of contacting individual contact pieces 29 of the head contact 26 with individual connecting parts on an upper surface of the rotary side 21 of the rotary transformer, a supporting body 27 of the head contact 26 is fixed to the upper surface of the rotary side 21 by sticking it, for instance, with an adhesive. When a rotary drum 9 is fitted to a flange 8, under the state of contacting each individual contact piece 30 with each individual contact part of a head terminal plate 24 of each magnetic head, the rotary drum 9 is fitted. Then, a signal is given and received between the rotary transformer 19 and each magnetic head through the rotary side 21 of the transformer 19, each contact piece 30 of the head contact 26 and each head terminal plate 24. Consequently, since the transformer 19 and the head are electrically connected via the contact 26, the signal transmission route is shorter than the conventional case using a relay plate, and the transmission loss of the signal is reduced.
