Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical disk recording medium, which can manufacture an inexpensive optical disk recording medium. SOLUTION: A flexible film sheet 10 for transfer, which is supported by one roll 100 and the other roll 105, is prepared, and an ultraviolet curing resin layer is continuously formed on the surface of the film sheet 10 for transfer in a process for winding the film sheet 10 for transfer from one roll 100 to the other 105. Then, a nickel stamper having an irregular shape is pressed to the ultraviolet curing resin layer formed on the surface of the film sheet for transfer, and at the same time ultraviolet rays are applied from the backside of the film sheet for transfer, thus curing the ultraviolet curing resin layer, and continuously forming the irregular shape on the ultraviolet curing resin layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical disc recording medium of a laminated structure having a cover layer and a hard coat layer with high efficiency, inexpensively and with high quality. SOLUTION: The optical disc recording medium includes a disc substrate (a molded resin substrate 1), recording layers L0, L1, L2, and L3, the cover layer 2, and the hard coat layer 3 disposed for surface protection. In the laminated structure, the cover layer 2 is formed such that its thickness decreases from the central portion to the peripheral portion of the disc, the hard coat layer 3 is formed such that its thickness increases from the central portion to the peripheral portion of the disc, and the total thickness of the cover layer 2 and the hard coat layer 3 is substantially uniform from the central portion to the peripheral portion of the disc. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical disk recording medium, which can manufacture an inexpensive optical disk recording medium. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes: a step of preparing a substrate for transfer; a step of forming an ultraviolet curing resin layer on the surface of the substrate for transfer; and a step of sealing and pressing a nickel stamper having a desired irregular pattern to the ultraviolet curing resin layer, for forming an irregular pattern in the ultraviolet curing resin layer by applying ultraviolet rays from the backside of the substrate for transfer, and for forming a recording layer on the ultraviolet curing resin layer on which the irregular pattern is formed.
