Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of skew, jamming, or the like in feeding paper by mechanically adjusting the spacing of guide members to the paper width of mounted roll paper, and easily and positively guiding the pulled-out roll paper. SOLUTION: The roll paper 15 is provided with flanges 16, 17 at both ends in the paper width direction. The guide members 21, 22 are provided with outward open inclined parts 21a, 22a into which the flanges 16, 17 can be inserted, vertical sidewall parts 21b, 22b integral with the inclined parts 21a, 22a and changed in the spacing to abut on the inserted flanges 16, 17, and guide parts 21c, 22c moving integrally with the sidewall parts 21b, 22b. The sidewall parts 21b, 22b abut on the flanges 16, 17 to bring the guide parts 21c, 22c into contact with both ends in the paper width direction of the pulled-out roll paper 15. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance print efficiency drastically by providing a means for applying transfer heat to an ink ribbon, and a means for heating an ink ribbon before ink is transferred thermally to a print medium. SOLUTION: Under print state of a thermal head 23, each heating section 23H1-23HN is heated by means of respective heater 55, 56 from normal thermal transfer temperature in order to thermally transfer various dyes applied to an ink ribbon 33 onto the surface of a card material 13. Since the card material 13 and an ink ribbon 33 have been heated already when print operation of the thermal head 23 is started, each heating section 23H1-23HN of the thermal head 23 requires a smaller heating value as compared with a case where the card material 13 and the ink ribbon 33 are not heated. Consequently, electric power supply to the thermal head 23 can be reduced and heating time can be shortened resulting in drastic enhancement of print efficiency.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a user's wait time by selectively controlling any of a plurality of printers in accordance with the number of sheets of photoprint media. SOLUTION: When the number of prints set by a user is not smaller than 5, external printers 4A-4C are driven to photoprint in place of an internal printer of a printer apparatus 2. Depending on whether or not an initial screen is operated within 30 seconds after a previous process in the printer apparatus 2, a counter is incremented or reset. When a count value becomes an odd number not smaller than 3, the external printers 4A-4C are driven in place of the internal printer. In the case of count values other than the above, the internal printer is driven to photoprint. If the printer apparatus 2 is used within 30 seconds after the printing process by three or more people, the external printers 4A-4C are used. On the other hand, if the printer apparatus 2 is not used after the previous printing process, or when the external printers 4A-4C are driving to photoprint at present, the internal printer is used.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely draw a printing paper after photographic printing to the receiving port of the outer wall of a photo booth, by using a color video printer for the photo booth. SOLUTION: A printing paper 2, to which a color picture image is photo- printed by a color video printer 1, is drawn out from the paper discharge port 6 of the color video printer 1 by the paper discharge lever 104 of a paper discharge device 10, built in a color video printer 1, by using the color video printer 1 for a photo booth 21, to feed the printing paper 2 to a receiving port 22 through a chute 23.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To correctly discriminate the type of a ribbon even when the ribbon is incorrectly replaced by a method wherein a case replaceably holds rolls, and the roll is provided with a ribbon identification means indicating the type of a ribbon. CONSTITUTION:In a connecting member 26A, a projected knob 30 is formed on an intermediate part between bearing parts 24A and 24C. A ribbon cartridge 20 can be pulled out of a video printer by gripping the knob 30. Thus, the ribbon cartridge 20 can be easily replaced. Furthermore, the connecting member 26A on the side of the knob 30 is pulled apart from a connecting member 26B by gripping the knob 30 to be separated from a bottom plate 28. Rolls T and S are rotatably supported by bearing parts 24B and 24D. By pulling apart the roll holding part 32 from a case body 34, the rolls T and S are disengaged from the bearing parts 24B and 24D. In this manner, in the ribbon cartridge 20, a ribbon 6 can be replaced integrally with the roll holding part 32 by pulling apart the roll holding part 32 from the case body 34.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium insertion mechanism and an electronic device equipped with the recording medium insertion mechanism that can prevent even if inadvertently inserted a coin or a recording medium smaller in a width than that of the recording medium that should by right be inserted into a slot from reaching a connector. SOLUTION: The system comprises a pathway that guides the recording medium 40 inserted from the insertion slot 3 to the connector 8, a shutter 13 that moves from a closed position where it shuts the pathway, to an open position where it goes off the pathway, and a pair of locks 14a and 14b having engagement parts 29a and 29b, respectively, which interlock with the shutter 13 in a closed position. The locks 14a and 14b are disposed so that they face each other in the width direction of the pathway with the engagement parts 29a and 29b energized to the locked position where they are engaged to the shutter 13. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a person riding on an invalid wheel chair or the like to easily enter a photographing chamber to take a picture. SOLUTION: Photographing equipment comprises the photographing chamber 16 which an object enters, a chair 24 provided in the photographing chamber 16 and seated by the object, a photographing part 17 for photographing the object seated on the chair 24 of the photographing chamber 16, and a rotating support mechanism 40 supported horizontally rotatably over a photographing position seated by the object on the chair 24 and a shunting position shunted from the photographing chamber. The rotating support mechanism 40 has a rotating supporter 41 provided rotatably on a side wall 14 constituting the photographing chamber, and a link arm 42 of which one end is integrally connected to the rotating supporter 41 and in which the chair 24 is attached to the other end. The chair 24 attached to the link arm 42 is so supported as to horizontally rotate on the rotating supporter 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

SOLUTION: This printer for photoprinting to the strip-shaped photoprinting medium wound in a roll is provided with a photoprinting medium-holding means for holding the loaded photoprinting medium in a manner to be able to be freely taken out, and a supporting means for supporting the photoprinting medium-holding means slidably to a casing in a front-back direction or in a lateral direction.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer using Y, M, C ink ribbons and an intermediate transfer medium film in which waste of ribbon and film is prevented. SOLUTION: A plurality, e.g. five, of color images are printed continuously onto an intermediate transfer medium film using Y, M, C ink ribbons 4, 5, 6 and an H/S ribbon 14 and the surface thereof is covered with a heat seal layer. Five images printed onto the film 3 are then transferred sequentially onto a plurality of print sheets 17 by a transfer means. Number of pulses being generated from an intermediate transfer medium film feeding means is counted during the interval after ending print of fifth sheet onto the film 3 before ending transfer of the fifth image onto the print sheet 17. Based on the number of pulses calculated from the measured number of pulses, the film 3 is rewound by a specified amount before starting next printing.
