Abstract:
The disclosed invention determines whether a reception packet is an MM packet or a GF packet with precision and avoids unnecessary decoding operations performed at the GF- packet-reception time and inefficient communications . An OFDM symbol including 52 tones is transmitted when the MM packet is used, but an OFDM symbol including 56 tones is transmitted when the GF packet is used. Therefore, it is verified whether or not a signal exists in an FFT output at each of ±27 and 28 shown in a subcarrier index so that the format of the reception packet is determined. Otherwise, the packet format is determined on the basis of the Cyclic- Shift amount that changes for every format. When the GF packet is used, decoding processing performed in an L-SIG and afterward is stopped.

A monoconical antenna comprises a generally conical hollow formed in one end of a dielectric body, a radiation electrode formed on the surface of the hollow, and a ground conductor formed closely and generally parallel to the other opposing end of the dielectric body. An electrical signal is applied between a near-vertex portion of the radiation electrode and a portion of the ground conductor. The half-cone angle (alpha) of the generally conical hollow is determined according to a certain rule which corresponds to the relative dielectric constant (ϵr). With this constitution, the monoconical antenna is miniaturized through dielectric loading while sufficiently maintaining its intrinsic wide-band characteristics.

Further, when predetermined information is included when the device discovery request signal for performing direct-inter-device wireless communication is received from another information processing device, the control unit transmits a device discovery response signal to the another information processing device, based on the predetermined information included in the device discovery request signal.

A transmitting apparatus which can suppress unnecessary power consumption. Optimal signal line is selected from a plurality of signal lines (53 - 56) having different gains from each other by signal amplifying means to perform gain adjustment on a signal to be transmitted, which is supplied to an input terminal (58), so as to optimize power consumption of each signal amplifying means in accordance with a gain value, and to halt the operation of the signal amplifying means on a signal line which is not selected. Therefore, unnecessary power consumption can be suppressed.

[Object] To improve the reliability by using an acknowledgement response while using radio resources efficiently in multicast transmission over wireless transmission. [Solution] A plurality of wireless communication devices included in a multicast group, when receiving a data frame, transmit simultaneously an acknowledgement response of multicast using spatial multiplexing in response to an acknowledgement request from a transmission source. On the other hand, a wireless communication device of the transmission source decomposes the acknowledgement responses simultaneously received into the original individual acknowledgement responses and restores them using signal processing based on information on a channel with each wireless communication device of a transmission destination.

Provided is an information processing device capable of operating in accessibility mode of guaranteeing browsing corresponding to disability or functional degeneration of a body of an operator. A source device checks whether each sink device is in accessibility mode at the time of connection, and determines whether or not metadata for supporting disability (for example, audios, videos, texts, vibration information, or the like) is added to the sink device in the accessibility mode at the time of transmission of original image/audio data. The source device changes a metadata transmission method in accordance with whether the accessibility mode of each sink device is turned on or off.
