Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the inside of a disk storing member stored in a storing portion visually recognizable from the external side of a case body. SOLUTION: A packaging case is composed of a case storing portion 26 in which a plurality of disk cases 2 having light-transmittable principal surfaces are stored in a state superposed in the direction of the thickness thereof, and a case body 21 having an inserting/withdrawing opening 28 for inserting the disk cases into and withdrawing them from the case storing portion 26. Further, the packaging case has a lid 29 which is provided to the case body 21 and which closes the inserting/withdrawing opening 28. Furthermore, the packaging case includes a support stand 22 provided on a bottom face 25 in the case storing portion 26 of the case body 21 and having support protrusions 34 which support the disk cases 2 in such a manner that part of an outer circumference of the principal surface of each disk case 2 stored in the case storing portion 26 is allowed to protrude so as to be directed outward with respect to other disk cases 2. The lid 29 is provided with a window 31 for ascertainment, which enables the inside of the case storing portion 26 to be visually recognized from the external side of the case body 21.

It also comprises a mount base 22 having a mount 35 on which the base 23 of the case body 21 is mounted, and protrusions 37, 37 for moving operation which are provided at positions corresponding to the openings 27, 27 of the case body 21 on the mount 35 fox switching the respective disk cases 3 received in the case body 21 from a first arrangement state to a second arrangement state.

Abstract: In a DC brushless motor including a rotor assembly having permanent magnets and a stator assembly having coils arranged in the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets of the rotor assembly, with the energization of the coils being controlled so as to impart a rotational torque to the rotor assembly; the permanent magnets of the rotor assembly are flat and are attached to a rotor yoke, which can be constructed as an octagonal prism, to provide a path for the magnetic flux emanating from the magnets and to support the flat magnets so that the latter form substantially a regular polygon in cross section. The magnets can be arranged with their poles in a north-south-north-south sequence against flat side walls of the rotor yoke to provide a flux density pattern that is substantially sinusoidal. Alternatively, the flat magnets can be arranged so that magnets of like polarization are disposed on either side of selected cornets of a polygonal rotor yoke, thereby providing a flux density pattern that is substantially trapezoidal or rectangular.

Abstract: METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRIC MOTOR COMMUTATOR In manufacturing an electric motor commutator which includes a cylindrical insulator having an axial bore for receiving the shaft of an electric motor, and a plurality of segments of commutator metal, such as, copper, extending about the outer circumferential surface of the insulator and being spaced apart by axially extending slots opening radially outward from the insulator between confronting surfaces of adjacent segments; the circumferential surfaces of the segments are shielded, as by plating the same with a metal other than the commutator metal, such as, silver, nickel, tin or zinc, or by coating such circumferential surfaces with a paint, whereupon, the resulting commutator assembly is ozidized so that only the confronting surfaces of the segments between which the slots are defined are covered with insulating layers of copper oxide, and then the shielding, along with any oxide that may have been formed thereon, is removed from the circumferential surfaces of the segments for exposing the copper or other commutator metal at such circumferential surfaces. Preferably, the commutator segments are formed by cutting the slots in a sleeve of the commutator metal which extends around the cylindrical insulator, with the cutting of the slots being effected after the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve has had the shielding, that is, the metal plating or paint, applied thereto.

Abstract: In order to facilitate the automated assembly of an electric motor, all of the major components and sub-assemblies thereof are successively brought together in one axial direction. Such major components of the motor include a first cylindrical case, preferably of aluminum, having an end wall at only one end so as to slidably receive, through its other open end, a second magnetic cylindrical case which is relatively shorter than the first case and which opens in the same axial direction for receiving and housing a cylindrical magnet, a rotor assembly insertable through the open end of the second case and including a shaft with a rotor and commutator thereon, a brush base insertable in the open end of the first case so as to bear against the open end edge of the second case and carrying brushes at one side to engage the commutator and a frequency generator at its other side, and a lid member carrying a central thrust bearing for engagement by the respective end of the shaft when the lid member is engaged with the open end of the first case for closing the latter and for bearing against the frequency generator.
